The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series, following The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11, 2011.
The game's main story revolves around the player character and their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The videogame is set two hundred years after the events of Oblivion, and takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving skills. The game continues the open world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.

Honestly, the Dunmer lore in TES seems to be the most trippy and philosophical part of the game's universe. I love how all three of the Tribunal members went in search for knowledge on their separate way... Well mostly Vivec and Seht, but you get my point. :) Nice touch with ESO graphics.

Cameron Ferrell Yeah, that’s because Almalexia was just too proud to accept the consequences of their actions and Azura’s curse, so she easily reverted/stopped the transformation on herself. Vivec, being all about duality, was both Chimer and Dunmer. Sotha Sil, on the other hand, basically told Azura “Screw you, this isn’t even a curse, my people will be fine like that.” and fully embraced it, both to mock the Daedric Prince and to be in a way closer to his people. The Tribunal were not good people, but damn their story is so interesting and compelling.

I always think that Sotha Sil ended up merging his soul into the Mechanical Heart to guide the machines in finishing the heart. The machines couldn't be able to guide themselves in completing it alone, they require some kind of guidance and only Sotha Sil would realistically know when the heart is finished, when it's perfect, not a machine unguided.

@@NeumaghAnon Man if you honestly think ESO holds a candle to any of the 3 Bethesda ES games you are delusional. The world is pretty. The lore is tasty but sometimes it overlaps with subtlety of a fog horn. I played Skyrim and Oblivion combined for more hours than I can imagine. Fortunately those released during the freedom years of my youth. I narrowly managed to squeeze Fallout 4 in there. I will say that ESO is far superior to Fallout 76 so Bethesda should continue to let someone else handle their multiplayer aspirations and continue to focus on single player titles.

So that's how the Clockwork City and its inhabitants flourished after the destruction of Lorkan's heart. Even after his death, he has kept the walls of his cell sturdy, and his people safe. This is why Sotha Sil will always be my favorite. That, and he admits that he's not a god. It's still sad, however, that the entire Island of Vvardenfell was destroyed by Red Mountain after Vivec's "disappearance." Almalexia? Her death didn't cause any large loss of lives. I never liked her, to be completely honest.

In all fairness to eso/zenimax, they’ve done some amazing things lore wise, yeah they’ve shat on some of the lore but I for one think they’ve added more than they’ve taken away, and giving us the ability to explore all of Tamriel is worth it, considering if it was entirely up to Bethesda it’d take 60 years

Carl Grau Bethesda does the same shit, at least eso opens up everything, how long you think it’s gonna be until we see black marsh, most likely 20 years if not longer, Bethesda makes great games but they take too long and are now more focused on monetising every little thing instead of just making a great game that’ll blow up. they’re more than willing to change and shit on their own lore just to make a game, and while Skyrim blew tf up and bought in a whole lot of new players, if you look at the lore before Skyrim they shat on that, look at oblivion too. Zenimax just did exactly what Bethesda does and tbh they’re doing it better, I still love Bethesda games but zenimax is just doing more rn. If you don’t or can’t accept/believe it, go play ESO

Half their campaign is spent trying to keep them from killing each other instead of the other factions, and House Telvanni outright refused to join.
