mu favorite fm radio station when i was in highschool..😍

LS (this Campus Radio) was one of my favorite stations back in the early 2000's. It's too bad they turned LS to be like the other stations of the "pang-masa" variety. So many memories of the LS Era until 2007.

This was my childhood radio station that i heard everywhere, it was GMA Network's Campus Radio 97.1 WLS FM, which was the #1 Pop Music Station in Metro Manila. I remember my Favorite DJs John Hendrix, Joe Spinner, Triggerman, Braggy, Jimmy Jam, Lizette, Hot Lips Liza, and the other aircheckers. I also remember in 2004 almost all of the aircheckers were onboard all day. From our Panasonic Belter AM/FM Radio Karaoke system to my pocket FM Radio, Campus Radio 97.1 WLS FM was always the best radio station I have never miss, even on the way to the 2005 UCCP Church Outing

I'm a 31 year old dude now, and Campus radio is one of the biggest part of my High-School days, Aside of watching MTV the whole day. Jamiroquai Craig David Justin Timberlake Jennifer Lopez Eminem Puddle of mudd Fat Joe Christina Aguilera Fatboy Slim John Mayer R.Kelly Nelly Furtado Pink Michelle Branch Usher Sugababes Ja Rule Ashanti S Club 7 N.E.R.D Avril Lavigne Chingy A perfect circle And the list goes on bruh. Sighhh... What a great days 😊

I remember listening to this station id of LS FM during my mid-elementary school days!!

I started listening to Campus Radio 97.1 WLS FM way back in 1994 when it was a Top 40 radio station before it was reformatted as an Easy Listening Radio Station in October 1995. The most notable songs played on Campus Radio 97.1 WLS FM as an Easy Listening Radio Station were "Runway" by The Corrs and "Sunlight" by Kevyn Lettau

Yes. The ancestors of Barangay LS 97.1 are World Love Songs 97.1, 97.1 WLS FM, The Giant 97.1 WLS FM, and Campus Radio 97.1 FM. The first of Barangay LS' 4 ancestors, 97.1 WLS FM played Easy Listening music under the World Love Songs brand, then by 1981, 97.1 WLS FM became the launchpad for the broadcasting career of Erwin Tulfo through it's World's Latest Songs slogan and brand

Back before they pandered to the base in 2007. I used to listen to Campus Radio in the early to mid-2000s to keep myself up to date with the latest top 40 hits of the day. Nowdays it's just hammy jokes and shallow talk that I could care little about.

I like jingles of before than of today

Cut 5 at 0:11 sounds familiar growing up in Palawan 🏝 as this was also used in our GMA 📻 💙 DYHY 97.5 Campus Radio (Edit: I mean, ALL cuts. Brings back childhood memories recording songs and jokes on my tape recorder and also listening to it on my first phone the 6610 and 6610i thru a special headset)

Nakakamiss ito. High school days tuwing umaga bago pumasok naka tuned in na kay John Hendrix. Tas tuwing lunch break naman kay Triggerman inaabangan namin if top 1 parin Noypi by Bamboo or Eddie Song by Mayonnaise. Artist of the month parang sa MTV. Dito ko din una narinig yung Magbalik ng Callalily LIVE. Ang ganda lng nung chorus pag first time mo napakinggan. Alam mong sisikat sila kasi dipa sila sikat non at wala pa sila album. ON AIR din kasi lagi Live gigs sa Campus at nirerecord ko sa tape tas pinaparinig sa mga kaklase. Buti nlng may Sony CFDFS350 CD/Cassette/Recorder kami haha. Ang ironic lang mas namulat ako sa mainstream rock sa station na ito kysa NU107 pero pareho sila astig. \m/

Quick question po! Naalala ko yung Jingle ng Campus Radio FM Legazpi. Merong slow neto diba? Piniplay pag early morning and midnight. May babae na kumakanta (parang feel good and christmasy ang dating) then ang outro nya is yung Campus Radio EFEMMMMMMM in chorus. Sana mahanap ko yun. 🥺 Very nostalgic.

Gayang-gaya eh. Nagkapareho lang ng callsign ng fi sadya, tapos sinadya pang gayahin ang Jam jingles. Ang muntik na, frequency, may 890 khz din kasi dati ang GMA pero tinanggal nung ni-launch ang 97.1 FM.
