Any water refill stations along the way like the Warburton Trail?

Yes there are some in the towns and there are a few shops and service stations where you can buy supplies, but much less available than on the Warburton trail, and the distances between them can be quite far, it's definitely best to plan and bring enough water, especially if the weather will be warm.

just wondering mate, im going on a year 9 camp along here, how steep is the trail?

Not too steep, it was designed originally for steam locomotives so they couldn't build it too steep, but one climb is really long, between Yarck and Merton, so even though it's not that steep it does feel like it never ends....
