This is a video made on our recent visit to Maasai Mara, Kenya. We had gone to see the spectacular Great Wildebeest migration which takes place between April and October each year. It is considered one of the natural wonders of the world. While following the migrating wildebeests we discovered the unparalleled beauty of the wildlife of the region. We came across a very wide spectrum of other animals of the region and a beautiful story evolves.
I request the viewers to please see the complete film. The film shows a live hunt of a wildebeest by a crocodile. The viewers must not miss this valuable capture.

The video was very high quality and well done. The music was preposterously random.

Thank you for the nice comment. I really liked Kenya very much during my short stay. People are extremely nice and friendly in Kenya
Great footage, but the music selection was death. Kills intense moments. Bears no relation to the setting or subject matter.
Did the wildebeest have a Military funeral ?
lol who the hell did the music for this video

It's from the video game "hunting buffalos"
Love the music while the caff is being eatin lmao
Narrator: the helpless mother lies on the river bank waiting for her own death. Bugle: That's a little different storytelling there.
life and death set to a jazzy beat. outstanding!
Come on man.....taps for the wildebeest? Your something else man....I was almost asleep from your soothing voice when that song played
Talk about a very sad, natural tragedy. The upbeat jazz music to the Wildebeest mother and calf's demise is an interesting accompaniment.
Your mesmerizing voice sir!! It was such a marvelous. Nature at its best!
I love your narration and the description of the creation of the wildebeast :). Thanks!

Wow! A predator hunting its prey is always a delight to watch. One can really see the hard work and dedication that went into this video! Your narration makes me nostalgic sir .... those physics lectures
The croc was like: I’m so full, I can’t eat another ounce of wildebeest.

A well articulated film expertly produced
A great experience well documented. We had visited Masai Mara in 2012.
Is this the soundtrack from Ocean's Eleven?
Truly an amazing execution of narrating the events surrounding such a marvelous phenomenon. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of wildlife but nevertheless this video left me in awe. This is undoubtedly a beautiful culmination of what you observed in Masai Mara. Thank you sir for sharing your experiences and hope to see more amazing videos coming :)

Beautifully captured migration and totally enjoyed the narration. Thank you Sir for sharing this. Hope you had a great time in Maasai Mara. P.S. - Even though I watched till the end, but it was sad to see the calf becoming a prey to the croc, a natural cycle which cant be ignored.

This is really an amazing video. I have watched many such documentaries, and this is definitely one of the best I have chanced upon. I did notice that you have a very clear diction and are very particular about your pronunciation, and that shows in the video. What I specially appreciate is the content of the narrative, since I am a very ardent writer and reader. All the videos were worth watching and, for me personally, worth listening to. Kudos!

Lovely Haldar! Especially the sunset at the end was a much-needed recompense for the dying wildebeest calf and mother. A new fact that I hadn't heard of: that giraffes and camels have this peculiar, almost human, gait... I wonder why they are different to the others, like horses and elephants. The close-up of the munching giraffe (sideways munch) was nice, and also reminded me of the way the camel eats - but I'm not betting that they are the same!

Though this video might be amateurish compared to others on youtube, I can see the hard work put in by Mr. Haldar in making this video. I thoroughly enjoyed walking every second of this video and it was very informative too... Thanks a lot for uploading this video sir, good job and god bless you.

Sir, can you please share the approximate details of how much you spent and how long you stayed there? I am also planning to make a trip to Kenya this fall.
@tirthankarhaldar
6 жыл бұрын
First of all I would advise you not to plan it during fall because you miss the spectacular migration phenomenon. During migration period you have very high probability of seeing live hunting, We had been in Kenya during 6th to 16th August. We travelled as a family of five adults. The all inclusive cost of the tour excepting to and fro air fare was US $ 3,000/- per person for the entire trip which covered five days at Masai Mara and a couple of days at Amboseli and Aberdare. All Accommodations booked at every place were top class Just before our arrival, Govt. of Kenya hiked the VAT on hotel stay steeply. But we were exempted from paying as we had already paid for our accommodations. So, you should expect higher tariffs than we paid.
Very Nice and Must VISIT Place, Wanted to visit this or Serngeti if pocket permits.
Awesome video sir

I love how the Zebras waited until their friend went first. Sacrifice Bob they said. Crocs go get him.
GREAT VIDEO, 70S MUSIC NOT REALLY MATCHING THE BLOOD AND GUTS CARNAGE VISUAL. BETTER TO DROP THE ADDED SOUND AND STICK WITH THE NARRATION AUDIO
Ok but hearing 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' being played behind the opening Narration kinda threw me off. I guess that would be the wildebeest getting their last wishes in the night before they try to cross the river. Probably getting some last minute cardio in too.
👍👌👌👌good professional photography, smooth and informative narration. Very nice and worth watching.

Whoever made this video must have been in a double mind playing Taps for an animal! (Funny how our speech along with our thinking are tied together. That is one of the reasons it's hard to learn a new language, even their thinking is different)!
"last God's creation" part got me laughing so hard and it's 4am.. My neighbor might think I'm going crazy.

One of the best, bar none.
I really liked the content of this travel piece, sir! Amongst many of the aspects and improvements I noticed, the prominent ones were - better capture of the subject, camera stability (a shaky camera adds a lot of strain to a viewer's eye), the storyline (everything was beautifully pieced together), the white balance setting was comfortable for the eye and the voice over was clear. altogether, a very insightful travel documentary :) I hope to see more coming. much love and warm regards, Anisha
