I think a part 2 is needed. Have Sophia go through a mysterious package and discovered why her parents died. Zafar had them murdered intentionally, been planning a coup against her with his corrupted allies, have her removed from her rightful throne and instill himself as king. How he manipulated an innocent family into helping him with promises of great riches for a poison made from a rare plant they were cultivating. From there, it would've spelled disaster for Caspia and the residents. In the time before her parents died, Sophia had learned a lot from them and her teachers in how to be a proper queen, a wise ruler and a capable diplomat. Meanwhile, Zafar is confronted by his former ally, Sarina, in the dungeons and one he betrayed a long time ago due to his ego. She and her family had tied him up tightly demanded to know why she's doing this. Sarina revealed that years ago, she gave Zafar a poison to slip into the drinks of Sophia's parents that would kill them from a rare plant her family cultivated. He promised her great power as prime minister if she helped him out with the death. When it came time for Zafar to repay the debt, he betrayed Sarina willingly and had everyone in her family including her imprisoned in the dungeon. She mentions they have been waiting for this moment to get revenge on him for the betrayal and sent the information in how he killed Sophia's parents to the queen. Sarina mentions that her family will be pardoned soon, while Zafar will rot in the dungeons for the rest of his life.
