    Inn teeno ki alg hi baat hai. Chahe honest review ho ya podcast, jo connect aur real indian wali baatein ye log krte hai waise koi nhi krta. And nostalgia bhi bhut mast diya ek dum. Like aisi cheezein jo hum utna yaad nhi krte but important part thi bachpan ki. Saumya was also very good in it

    as saumya said... moong daal ka halwa is not basic it is something else.... and also i have a heartwarming story about this which is recently in my sister's marriage we were thinking about what dessert should we serve other than normal desserts and moong daal ka halwa was selected at almost last minute and it was served..... all guests appreciated it so much and loved it.... also this was the very first time something like this was served in my village and it was woww

    Humare Kheto me abhi bi shehtoot ka ped hai, almost 30 years ho gye h, har saal March April ke time shehtoot Pak jaate hai, Also shehtoot ke Keedo (Resham-keet) se Resham bhi banaai jaati hai. Aapne Rajasthani food ke bare me aur details me baat kr skte the, bahut variety hai, Btw great podcast ,chaaro hi ne gazab perspective diye hai😅😅😅

    Been enjoying these podcasts. Thanks for having Zain and Saumya, this diversity makes the convo very interesting. But no discussion around Bombay and Kolkata street food….in Kolkata u get malai bread every morning and their rolls…omg I can kill for these 😂 and Mumbai of course, Pav Bhaji, chole samosa outside college. And I now live in London and u r right there are no street snacks at all 😢 we all miss it so much.

    I can strongly relate to Saumya as I come from Bihar bt why didn't she talked about liiti chokha and Sattu (super drink). Strongly recommended. Btw 50 min went like 5 min. Amazing podcast with comedy ka tadka. ❤

    I m from Dehradun and the street food i loved there was bun with aloo tikki & chutney. I have not seen it anywhere else. And in sweet baal mithai of Uttarakhand (almora) is one of the best.

    Yaar i agree with Saumya - Moong dal ka halwa used to be my favorite desert for a long time, the only thing that trumps moong dal halwa is lauki ka halwa . Kerala Halwa (Black one) is also very yummy but a very different from north Indian concept of halwas

    Loved the podcast as always! Listening to this while I am fasting and travelling, so you can think ow hungry I would be feeling right now :D I would recommend you guys to try the Hyderabadi cuisine once, specially Haleem! recently it has been overtaken by a lot of Arabian restaurants and I am sure you will love it!

    Momos Dehli aur dusre india states me bohot baad me aaya hai, ye mainly North Eastern states ki dish thi kafi saalo pehle se. Jab mai school jata tha around 2001-02 me tab humare liye momos sabse common dish tha as snacks item. Aur bohot easily and widely available bhi tha.

    I am 22 from Guwahati, Assam. Yaha pe momos early 2000s me aah gaye the. I remember having momos for the first time around 2005/2006 . Usse pehle bhi milte honge yaha par I was too young to remember. Surprised to know that it started becoming popular up north so late. Mujhe lagta tha 90s se chale aah rahe momos. Also 100% agree, golgappe/ puchka eastern side of India ke sabse best hote hain. I have had them everywhere across the country and nothing comes close.

    FYI Me Pune Maharashtra se hu yha Bhandara hota he during Ganesh Chaturthi every year just Ganesh Visarjan ke ek din pehle Bhandare hote he and u can come and have food for free and yha sirf aloo ki sabzi nhi hoti it's either aloo or Matki ki sabzi with masala rice it's mandatory for most of places meethe me halwa
