A great flood certainly happened. But the Arc itself so wildly impractical. Seems like a huge waste of time and resources spent looking for a myth that doesnt even make sense.

I thought this might be credible until you introduced the curator/"expert" who recites sensationalism w baited breath. Historians don't try to sensationalize.

I'm sure there were many great floods since stories of them are present in just about every culture.

Recycle .. ok think about this. When rome took over a place ..they destoryed it. Then when you rebuild ..you got a pile of blocks laying there..do you make new blocks or recycle the old one ? Im a builder. Back then i would have recycled the ark... I think were looking in the wrong spot for the ark ..something else to think about

Maybe it was the eruption of mount Etna 8000 years ago which caused a massive tsunami amongst other things which wiped out civilization in the Mediterranean particular.

"the earth burst, as can be read in countless records worldwide." Yeah, that sounds really factual. Too bad the guy I just quoted didn't bother to mention any of these "countless records."

The flood of the bible was written down in 1512 BCE. This is why you find stories if Gilgamesh and other flood legends across the earth in ancient cultures.... because the flood took place approx. 2379 BCE..... and as people spread into the world after the flood the legend went with them.
