I went to the “Goodwill bins” in Kansas City. The guy next to me found a box of early first edition, Stephen Kings. After explaining to him that he had thousands in books, he said “huh, cool”. Send Chuck the first edition, the stand back in his box. It took few weeks to emotionally recover.

@@BlueEyedMatt42 oh I love those ideas though!! Maybe even top rock albums or songs inspired by books! (Rime of the ancient mariner by Iron Maiden and battle of evermore by led zepp comes to mind haha)

I read and own Bazaar of bad dreams, The shining, Revival, Lisey’s story, Night Shift (I bought it mainly for reading Quitters Inc. story), IT, Everything’s Eventual, Hearts in Atlantis. Yet to buy and read The Dark Tower series, Pet Semetary, Duma key.

That’s a great collection right there! And best part is your best king reading days are ahead of you - DT and per Sematary are just incredible. If you decide to read the dark tower, the first book isn’t representative of the rest of the series, so I’d say stick it through to book 2 to see if it’s right for you!

I have just subscribed after seeing you live with Cliff. You have an amazing collection. I love Stephen King. I hope to have as many as you one day 😊

Awesome collection! My first go to is the secondhand stores and libraries. One of the libraries that I'm close to has a room that people can purchase books for cheap. One of my greatest finds were 5 hardcover books of The Dead Zone,Cujo,Misery, Different Seasons, and Rose Madder for I think $1.00! And they're all the old covers. I'd rather read hardcover,but I take what I can find if I can. But I want to purchase Four Past Midnight in hardcover since I have the Signaet mass market paperback and it was kind of difficult reading The Library Policeman.

Thanks so much Nathan! Secondhand is just such a great way to go. Those hardcovers are an AMAZING find! I've looked for Different Seasons, and that one is harder to find even used without it being pricey -- great stuff! Hopefully you can find Four Past Midnight soon! Maybe thriftbooks.com might have it?

@@Shelf-Esteem I'll have to check out Thrift Books. Yesterday I saw on Facebook someone was selling the hardcover of Four Past Midnight along with other books and I messaged them and it got sold :-(.

I only own billy summers i absolutely enjoyed this book you should read the green mile i read it a few months ago i read the stand in February 2020

@@Shelf-Esteem It’s true, it’s a good book that made me enjoy reading again after more than 15 years of not reading. Now I’m going full steam ahead. I bought The Shining and Under The Dome. When I finish them, I’ll look for your recommendation because it seems very interesting.

@@alelimascksYou picked a very interesting first! But Joyland is amazing I love that novel, I read it at the perfect time in my life. Plus I love theme park tropes, I eat that stuff up.
