May the reef live forever
The earth hasn't gotten more disastrous. This is the earth.
My oath they mislead us, I cut and pasted this link to everyone I know.
The reef recovered pretty well after the massive dust storms and Cyclone Yasi through the 2010 period. It would be interesting to see the correlations between cyclones and reef decrease/increase statistics. Although Yasi did a massive amount of visual damage to the everglade regions, I found in the coming years that the everglades and habitats appeared to come back even stronger as if nature gave everything a bit of a stir up to revitalize it. (That's just visual and anecdotal view point from watching in person on site for that full period) [Edit] ^ I was speculating if the reef benefits after a bit of a ruff/stir up in the same way. I often see this effect across many land based ecosystems. [Edit] P.S. Yasi only impacted about a 300km section of the GBR, whereas the dust storm covered a large portion of the GBR. So I am only speculating upon the mix with the stats comparing to local effects and full GBR stats etc. > Thank you again for your effort and work in providing informative videos and data. Loves our awesome GBR 🏆❤
Can I have a source for this?
