I have to tell you I’ve been having a very rough emotional time with all that’s been going on. It’s been a few wks since I’ve crocheted from the heart. I decided today I would force myself to crochet with one of your videos...your calm voice & loving tone literally made me cry (I promise I’m not crazy) it felt like I was with a close friend. I truly thank you for ALL your videos and for touching my heart today! It was really nice letting go AND yes this is my project to gift myself for the next few days! That you so much!!!

Saw this video a few days ago! Absolute favourite project now! My brother is visiting for the first time since Covid , only for a week. He always has a chill down his neck......I already made him this cowl and he LOVES it! Made another for him to take home for his partner of 20 years. Now working on one for myself! Thank you so much! Much love and gratitude!

Just want to share: I made this cowl using Lion Brand Jeans in the color Stonewash. This yarn has a nice soft feel to it when worked up. After a little 'fiddling' I used a chain of 89 with a size K/6.5 mm to get a nice drape with this yarn. However, when it was completed, I thought it needed just a little something to finish the edge, so I did one round of sc in each stitch, including the ch 1 (loosely), and then a round of crab stitch/rsc (loosely). It was gifted to a teenager on Christmas morning. She immediately tried it on and absolutely love it! The 14 rounds was a perfect length and I think the edging helped give it a little body to frame her face. It was very flattering. Thank you so much Craig for this pattern and your hard work in creating it. You helped me look good in the eyes of a teenager, which, in itself is no small feat. :-D I think I will be going down a rabbit hole with this pattern and making quite a few more

I am a quilter and I have finished nothing since our first lockdown in March 2020 - I just keep adding to my stash and my pile of UFO’s. I saw this video in January 2021 and have actually finished my cowl in less than a week! Other than a few ripple afghans I made 40 years ago, I do not crochet, but I found this presentation so low key and friendly, I was inspired to order a hook and yarn and not only start, but FINISH!

For symmetry on the underside of round one, crochet the 3-dc cluster into the second chain of the ch-3 space. To avoid slip stitching across to the ch-1 space to start a new round, [do not ch-1] join with a single crochet into the top of the beginning ch-3, and then ch-3, 2-dc around the sc to begin the new round. 🐱
