Thank you for including some beginner projects like this in your tutorials. Your slow clear instructions along with gentle encouragement are the perfect way for me to learn.
I have to tell you I’ve been having a very rough emotional time with all that’s been going on. It’s been a few wks since I’ve crocheted from the heart. I decided today I would force myself to crochet with one of your videos...your calm voice & loving tone literally made me cry (I promise I’m not crazy) it felt like I was with a close friend. I truly thank you for ALL your videos and for touching my heart today! It was really nice letting go AND yes this is my project to gift myself for the next few days! That you so much!!!

First time I have seen the face to the voice.... I am now complete. ...Thank you for teaching us the art!
Where is the love button? I learned so much from your videos the last couple of days. And how nice to see the face behind the voice. Thank you for all you do.
What was really cool about this was the fact that if you choose modern cool colors it could turn out pretttty modern lookinh and not granny-ish. I really enjoyed it thanks you!
Hey Spider! When you have the hood pulled up, you look positively apostolic! Saint Spider!
Saw this video a few days ago! Absolute favourite project now! My brother is visiting for the first time since Covid , only for a week. He always has a chill down his neck......I already made him this cowl and he LOVES it! Made another for him to take home for his partner of 20 years. Now working on one for myself! Thank you so much! Much love and gratitude!
I was given some yarn by an old lady from church for making her 3 pairs of crochet slippers last year. Well, needless to say, I've been looking for a scarf of cowl pattern, when I saw your tutorial. I'm making it as we speak. Thank you for sharing and happy hooking😊
Fiber spider Craig, I thank you for this tutorial! I don’t think I would’ve continued crocheting without you and your help!❤️🌻
If anyone could be said to have a wicked grin, it’s our dear Mr Fiber Spider 😉👍
Just want to share: I made this cowl using Lion Brand Jeans in the color Stonewash. This yarn has a nice soft feel to it when worked up. After a little 'fiddling' I used a chain of 89 with a size K/6.5 mm to get a nice drape with this yarn. However, when it was completed, I thought it needed just a little something to finish the edge, so I did one round of sc in each stitch, including the ch 1 (loosely), and then a round of crab stitch/rsc (loosely). It was gifted to a teenager on Christmas morning. She immediately tried it on and absolutely love it! The 14 rounds was a perfect length and I think the edging helped give it a little body to frame her face. It was very flattering. Thank you so much Craig for this pattern and your hard work in creating it. You helped me look good in the eyes of a teenager, which, in itself is no small feat. :-D I think I will be going down a rabbit hole with this pattern and making quite a few more
Hi precious friend, I’m 78, not flirting, you know, my studio is in the basement, and when I crochet ,I need a hood, or crawl , blanket on my head & shoulders , thank you for your tutorials, I love these greens , will make it X
I'm in the tropics but would love to follow your instructions, really thank you
Love you back! Hope all is well with you and your weather going on. Love, hugs, prayers.
Bob Ross of crochet....💕💕
you are a lovely teacher and sweet person thank you so much for sharing the pattern love and light from Brazil 🌬💞🌟
I LOVE the colors...sometimes colors of skeins don't impress me until I see them worked up into something...adding this to my bucket list!!
I really enjoyed watching you make your cowl. I have Mandala unicorn that is what I will make my cowl out of.
Just finished one. It's lovely. Thanks!
Fascinating. Could never before figure out a mobias strip. THANK YOU!!! Mind blowing. New, exciting and fun. Take care.
Very nice! Floofy is always good. My granddaughter would say comfy- cozy.❤
I am a quilter and I have finished nothing since our first lockdown in March 2020 - I just keep adding to my stash and my pile of UFO’s. I saw this video in January 2021 and have actually finished my cowl in less than a week! Other than a few ripple afghans I made 40 years ago, I do not crochet, but I found this presentation so low key and friendly, I was inspired to order a hook and yarn and not only start, but FINISH!
Many thanks Fiber Spider . I have been following your tutorial for ages . A lot to show for . Sending you a big hug full of love. Ps I live somewhere in Australia 🇦🇺 🤍👌🏽🤍
Floofy, what a great word!
This is exactly what I've been lookin for! It's great the way you explain things, and you give excellent instructions! I hope you'll be around for a long, long time coming up with more great stuff for us to make! Thank you so much!
Love this moebius cowl / hood. Thanks so much!
You need to stop posting patterns! I have too many projects and now I need to make this too. 😩 Well, I've got it started. I love your tutorials. You explain this so well and you're such a joy to listen to. Thank you for your time and effort!

Brilliant instruction as always. Love that it can be worn hooded. Thank you 🙏
Hi, I came across your page looking for another project for my artist activity. I was not sure of I could manage a project because I have never read instructions on crocheting I usually just look at what I want to make. Your tutorial is very comprehensive and I want to thank you. I am well on my way to making beautiful projects. Thank you
A wonderful project ! Thanks...
I've just found you on you tube .. You explain everything so good .. I love your calming voice .. Of course I had to subscribe, you will be one of my first choices when I am randomly looking for something to crotchet
I love your calm voice and great personality that comes through in your videos.
Thank you for another easy peasy but lovely project! Mare
❤ I love this. I had bought some loops and threads yarn a while back and couldn't figure out a project for it. This was perfect. Thanks.
I LOVE this pattern and I found it just in the nick of time!! I'm making them for Christmas presents. Thank you SOOO much for all you do. Your tutorials are the BEST!! You are loved Fiber Spider!!

I made a bunch of these as Christmas presents, and they were a HIT. Thank you so much for walking us through this pattern!
I really like this. It could be worn in so many ways ❤

Once again you have outdone yourself. Thank you for your time and efforts for all of us. Beautiful pattern and tutorial.
I got it.! Thanks Fiber Spider- you made this seem easy. And it's beautiful!
This is perfect!!!! I have always wanted a convertible cowl as I live on a farm and frequently go outside to care for our precious animals. Rain or shine. So this will help so much!! Thank you!!!!!

I chose this from all the others, and so glad I did! You explain it well and make it look so easy. I've watched the whole video, and made a good start. Thank you so much. I've subscribed to follow your other projects.
Love your tutorials dearest Fiber Spider you are most definitely my absolute favourite XXX
Your explanation is always clear and understandable. Thank you for sharing this tutorial.
From the UK and loving your tutorials! Taught myself from scratch in our COVID lockdown here. Your tutorials are a godsend, clear and your voice is so calm. I’ve done a virus (appropriate eh?) double bedspread for my daughter and her partner, a dog blanket and a comforter for me so far. This cowl pattern is ideal for winter walks in the chill of Scotland where we live. Thank you so much 🙏
I really like all your beautiful creations your brilliant!!!
Hello. This my first comment. I made your hats on a loom and slippers.... now I will have to do this as well! BTW my son is named Spyder! Also red head as is his son slater, who is 8 and their school in Santa Barbara CA is teaching knitting to them! Oh and thank you for your videos. (Also I saw you read the wizard of oz.... I grew up next door to the tin man! His granddaughter is a very close friend!
I love your videos. You're fun and make crocheting easier to follow. Thanks!😁
Thank you! What a fantastic idea, and such a calming pattern. Fiber Spider - you're awesome! Stay safe!!! Love you!

'Just got done falling in love with the mobius shawl you taught us and now I'm making this one with the same yarn. However, since it's brown-to-dark grey color changing I'll be incorporating bright clusters of red, yellow, blue, etc into it. Can't wait!
I love this thank you. I'm not watching a film as I crochet I'm watching you showing us another crochet project and surprise, surprise I have just the yarn in my stash! Great for Christmas presents as well.
Thank-you. I now know how it goes. I was doing it wrong.
I want you to know that I had to blindly follow your directions because my brain won't twist like that. IT WORKED!!! No suprise to you, but I was amazed. Thanks for sharing.
Don't usually comment but I have really enjoyed your tutorials, and loved this pattern. Thank you for the time you spend on them. Keep on. 👏🥰💙

Hallo, watching you from south Africa. Love your videos
Love it! I wish us Canadians didn't get so heavily taxed on packages from europe. I can't afford to get ice yarn for that reason, so i can just live vicariously through you!

You're the best teacher ever! Very specific.
You are amazing! I’m learning so much through your tutorials. Loving this pattern......and, yes, it’s easy peasy......
Another great tutorial. Thank you.
I am really enjoying this tutorial.
Hello my crochet prince...I am so satisfied with your tutorials ...I just want to say thanks...you made patterns soooooooo easy for me.. God bless you ...
I have a lot of Shawl in a Ball. Thinking this would be really good for that.
For symmetry on the underside of round one, crochet the 3-dc cluster into the second chain of the ch-3 space. To avoid slip stitching across to the ch-1 space to start a new round, [do not ch-1] join with a single crochet into the top of the beginning ch-3, and then ch-3, 2-dc around the sc to begin the new round. 🐱

You can also use a half double crochet instead of the single crochet - I've seen that in other patterns.
Dang! I love this - another neat thing for Christmas gifts! 💜
Thank you fiberspider

That's cool how that works
Great Gifts! Thanks for this, you're always right on time with these tutorials!😀
And you said you could add the "twist" later, but never did show us where to add it if we didn't do the initial "twist" in the start by turning the "chain" one twist around to start ! Appreciate your response this, again...thank you .Roy
