Nice Video. This was a great resort before the pandemic. I booked and kinda regretted after watching resent videos and the reviews. They separated the resort and so many amenities were cut off. Now called Garden Suite and Falcon. Paradisus is a complete different resort now. Sharing only the beach with the other. No restaurant access at the beach for The old Reserve (Garden suites now) Glad it was so nice and fun during the time your family visited. Mario was the best!

Hi Top Flight Mama, I have be watching your videos as you travel the world. What an absolutely amazing opportunity to show your girls this wonderful world we love on. With that said and seeing your travel videos for the past 2 years and all these stunning resorts and beaches you stayed on, is the Grand Reserve punta cana truly a place to stay even though you wont have beach views every morning?? It has been years since I have traveled and think a beach view is important. However, after seeing this video and booking a 2 bedroom swim out did I make the right decision? Have you stayed at another resort in Punta Cana?? Please share all the details, I love how you and your family travel and remind me of my family. Cheers!!

Going there for my first solo trip in May

Taking my 2 kids there in the first week of July but mine are 19 boy, 17 girl but I think they will enjoy it, they love pools and the beach and daddy love's the bars and cigar lounge lol!! I reserve the grand one cause of the use of all three resorts was a good idea. Do you recommend any excursions??? Great video!!

Hey so glad you enjoyed the video! I felt like the resort was well staffed with security. Seemed like at just about every dark corner there was a security guard posted. But that said, I’ve been reading some of the recent stories about attacks happening in DR resorts and it seems like some are perpetrated by resort staff themselves. (Though to be clear, none of these incidents have taken place at The Grand Reserve as far as I know) I think that no matter how safe the resort, in the current climate it may be safest to always walk in parties of two or more. You just never know!

Hey Nan, thanks for watching! There’s a lot of room for improvement when it comes to food at The Grand Reserve. But the good thing is as a guest of GR you get unlimited access to Paradisus and The Reserve, and we found the food on that side to be significantly better!

Hi. I am planning our family trip for summer and I am a little worry about resort being in the back of property. How far is from beach and how easy is to get a ride. Do you have to wait a long time ? Thanks and great video

Hey! We didn't find it to be a problem at all. It takes literally 3 minutes to ride in a golf cart from the front lobby to the beach. There are a lot of golf carts departing all the time, and sometime if your concierge happens to be near the lobby, he hops in and drives you personally.

All those extra things that the hotel did for when you arrived like the photo and deserts and the sweet dreams family.. how do I get that for when I visit? Did the hotel just do it or did you request it?

Yes! The food could be better but everything else is great. The kids club staff is excellent and there’s a nice room just for infants and toddlers.

Yes, you do, and there's this car that can drive you there with no extra charge.

Hi Jose, just wanted to get back to you about this. I spoke with the team at The Grand Reserve and they said "employee tips are actually already included within the rate, so though it’s not necessary it’s appreciated." So sounds like you can tip at your own discretion!

Hi Anne Marie, you’re going to have so much fun! The nightly entertainment was great. They switched it up every night so it was always different. Lots of live music, great DJs, and even cool performers like contortionists and trapeze artists!

What is a mama juana ..me and my wife going there to that hotel in 2weeks got to try to impress with this drink lol

Hey Frank, thanks for watching! :) Mama Juana is the most popular local liquor in DR. From my googling, I've found that "It’s a concoction that’s made by combining rum, red wine and honey, and then allowing that mixture to soak with tree bark and herbs." It's got a slightly sweet taste. Not my favorite spirit in the world, but fun to drink when you're there. Hope you have a great time! Are you going to stay at The Grand Reserve?

Please please be careful with those kids clubs on resorts. Please stay there with the girls. I stayed at the four seasons resort in Hawaii and one of the female workers bf was arrested for child trafficking and I was warned.
