I think like a lot of very early youtube types like this guy he just missed the boat by about 5-6 years(he was essentially too early for the boat) . There's so many golden nuggets to be found from the early days of youtube. If Thomas gray had been a bit later he would have blown up like Jonathan pie or someone similar. Just the weird early phase of youtube so many people never broke out. I hope he keeps making stuff because it's fucking hilarious
