Nah. The guests are asked for their preferred drinks. There were previous guests who had tea and water. Alcoholism is self-determined, by the way. A person has a choice to become or not to become an alcoholic, or to engage or not to engage in any kind of addiction.

Men entirely comfortable and confident in their masculinity, as it should be... It's one of the things I have to be careful about going to the UK after living here in Asia for over 25 years... Men are a lot more physically comfortable in close proximity over here than where I grew up.

Any straight man that has confidence in himself does not care about gay people and flirting. Its only the closet gay straight guys that feel uncomfortable. And Acting and the Arts in general is dominated by gay men so its something you got to be use to or just dont do.

These 3 actors are part of my childhood, teenagehood and adulthood. I love them. They are my mutants. They made me laugh, they made me cry and laugh so bad. This is my favorite interview. The love and respect they have for each other is just so moving.

I keep coming back to this episode whenever I am at an all time low. It always cheers me up. The friendship between them is soo heartwarming. You start believing that all is right in the world again..

Those “artists” that compile two decades worth of albums where every single song is a love song are so versatile and imaginative. Especially when they require 3-5 other people to help them write the lyrics. And don’t even get me started on how ingenious it is to conform to bland, manufactured sound of current Top 40 pop music… Ugh. Sheer brilliance.

Or is that not permitted in this day and age anymore? Oh and having an affair with a woman 20 years your senior isn’t normal, regardless of whether or not you call her by the one name of the one role you know her to have played. Graham Norton is such an excellent host. Him letting people have their space and time to speak naturally without interrupting them is wonderful.

Hands down this is the best ever episode of TGNS, the natural chemistry between all three of these superstars is fantastic and even after nearly 20 years has passed between their first meeting, the way Hugh Jackman has so much respect and admiration for these giants of stage and screen is fantastic…the surprise introduction of Sir Ian (who was introduced simply as “Ian McKellen” by Graham yet wasn’t corrected, showing Sir Ian’s humility) was simple yet so brilliantly effective. The surprise looks on Hugh’s and Sir Patrick’s faces was just brilliant. However, as hilarious are a lot of the stories that these three regale, the McKellen/Dame Maggie Smith story at the Oscars is the icing on the cake. Graham Norton should be tapped on the shoulders by Her Majesty for the way this show is produced and executed, in fact the whole team should be.

There honestly is not another talk show as relaxed and as great as Graham's show!

You could already see Hugh getting emotional about Sir Patrick saying he was done too. Ugh. I absolutely adore these three together. When I watch these episodes of them together it makes me cry so hard. 😖

you have no idea how obssesed i am with this episode it's so good, the great loving friendship and chemistry between them and the lovely surprise by Ian and every single story they tell, it's just a perfect show with a perfect episode with a perfect guest with perfect stories

To be a comedian one writes and practices jokes. To be a wit is to be funny just off the cuff and shows great intelligence The ability to react to anything and make it funny is grahams achievment What a great joy it is to see him.

These three have probably the greatest chemistry of any three actors together I've ever seen. Very genuine loving friendship. Must be amazing to have friends like this. I've never experienced it.

God, Hugh is so on the edge of tears for so much of this...it's heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.

Camaraderie between Sir Ian Patrick and Hugh is off the charts. It's 100% mutual something which goes beyond money and fame. For large part you forget Graham is even hosting the show such is their involvement in each other.

It's as if they ran into each other at the airport and decided to get hammered at the bar waiting for their delayed flights..simply extraordinary..such fun.

I just love the Graham Norton show. Watch clips from it all the time. Don’t think any channels are showing it here where I live. The huge standout is the warmth on the show. The liberating atmosphere that seem to make the guests open up in a way not seen on other shows. This is a really warm episode. And all seem so spontaneous singing to James for his birthday. A thing to remember for sure. Also many guests are repeatedly guests on this show. A testament to how great and well renowned Graham is and that the feeling is genuine. Of course guests are carefully planned plugging albums or movies but that’s expected. Thank you for a great show with relaxed great stories from guests

James Blunt is wonderful human being also. He's a newbie compared to these legends but I wish he could have been on the couch with them the whole time. He would have soaked up their stories like a sponge.

I know theres James Blunt- fantastic songwriter- but the bromance Pat-Hugh-Ian is one of the best episodes!

Ian is so adorable and a true joy and I love all his flirting with Hugh and the way Hugh good-naturedly eats it up lol.

This has to be my all-time favorite of all The Graham Norton episodes I have watched. I do not think it is the bromance between Hugh, Patrick, and Ian. Still, their chemistry is so open that you feel a welcomed guest into their close professional/personal relationships. Their ribbing, joking, and laughing at one another are all in front of the backdrop of unconditional acceptance. I felt that energy in the way that James was an immediate inductee into the group in just a few minutes at the end of the show. Graham is an iconic host and is always a vital element of the dynamic, but I did not feel he had to work too hard to foster the ambiance of this show.

If there's someone I truly love and am a huge fan of is Sir Ian McKellen, like Sir Patrick from X-Men and Star Trek of course, Hugh Jackman is adorable but Sir Ian McKellen, he's on another level, I adore him. Anything he does, he's one of the most amazing human beings on this planet

The friendship between McAllen & Steward made me cry, really - when they met there - cannot understand other minds - feel free what you want to - RAINBOW !!!

That was one of my first theatre shows ever in Australia...didn't know I was watching the beautiful Hugh as he wasn't the name he was yet...but I still say that is one of the best theatre show experiences I've ever seen 28 years later...

I have lways known that Graham Norton Show is a very funny and entertaining show. BUT GEEZ! THIS EPISODE MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD FROM THE START TO THE END! These men are so authentic, they truly cared for each other and truly at ease with each other. Even James Blunt was a great add to the mix! Even Graham didn't have to lead the show as much. He mostly let the guys run the show. But his interjections were so funny and very great timing!!! Truly my most favourite episode!

I've loved watching The Graham Norton show for the past 10 years or so. But I've got to say... of all the great episodes... this one will always be my favourite.

Absolutely the funniest Graham Norton Show ever! And that is saying something!

Playing a clip with Johnny Cash singing was pure genious. His voice is truly genuine.

The amount of respect, love and admiration between these three, is awesome
