@D. Katay I an a new convert. I binge watched Good Witch movies followed by Seasons 1-4, Season 5. I have followed Catherine through JAG, Army Wives and several of her other films. She is one of the most talented, beautiful women I have ever seen. Not only is her talent in front of the camera as an actress, but also behind the camera as a talented and sought after executive producer.

Interestingly, going by the timeline, Cassie is actually LYING to Abigail in this scene. Cassie wasn’t a child at the time Abigail’s parents died,

@@giftedhands8363 Nope - she was at least 21 at the time, according to the timeline. In *The Good Witch*, Cassie tells Jake that her parents “died in a car crash in Zurich” when she was “seven”. That means Cassie is *at least* seven years older than Abigail (and born no later than 1979 as Lori reveals Abigail is 25 and born in 1986 as the movie occurs in 2011) Jake later says in *The Good Witch’s Family* that Abigail’s mother died when she was 14. Add on the fact that Cassie was at least 7 years older than 14... and you get 21 as the youngest Cassie would have been when Abigail’s mother died. This means she was *not* “just a child” as she claims... and the fact that she knows Abigail’s mother is in the image implies that she *did* know of Abigail and chose not to take her in and look after her. So Cassie is, outright, lying to Abigail’s face in this scene.

@@Jamestopboy She might not necessarily be lying. If Abigail was a baby after Cassie's parents died, it's still possible that Cassie never knew about her. Abigail said that her mother reached out to Cassie's, but by that time she was likely still in foster care. Abigail's mother obviously didn't know that Cassie's parents had died or she wouldn't have reached out to her mother after the fact. If Abigail's mother didn't know that her niece was in foster care, it's possible that Cassie was never aware about Abigail either. Cassie definitely was a child when she lost her parents and as you said, Abigail is at least 7 years younger than Cassie and Cassie lost her parents at the age of 7. Even if she did know Abigail's mother, it might have been before Abigail was even born. I think when Cassie said that she was only a child, she was referring to the day of her parents' death, so it's certainly possible that she never knew about Abigail and kids can sometimes have a hard time remembering things. All of my relatives live in a completely separate country from me, and I don't even know their names because the last time we saw each other I was about 10.

@@ThePrincessCH True, but the AGE thing she's certainly lying about. According to the most recent episode of Good Witch, Cassie is at LEAST ten years older than Abigail, so she was at least 24 when Abigail's mother died, when Abigail was 14.

@@Jamestopboy I think when Cassie said she was a child she wasn't talking about the day Abigail's mother died. She was talking about the day her parents died.

It’s from movie not the series, good witch’s family

Hello, I just recently discovered this series/franchise - I started to watch Good Witch on Netflix because I was bored. I'm normally not interested in these types of shows - you know, the "Buffy" kind. Tried to get into Buffy back then because I was interested in all the magic & maybe the historical/lore references (if any), but never got into it. The only other "magic" shows I ever really liked were Supernatural & Merlin (BBC). The trailer intrigued me, so I decided to give this a chance. After watching 3 episodes, I can already tell I'm not gonna like (most of) it. See, I don't really like all the drama and high school and comedy cliches, I'm really just interested in the magic, plus the actor Catherine Bell really does a good job, especially at keeping a sense of mystery around the character. So, I'm only really hooked on her character. But if I'm going to keep watching this, I just really need to know a couple of things: #1: Is the mayor going to be replaced/killed off? (Please tell me she leaves in Season 2, at the latest.) #2: Are the witch daughter and the new douche kid in town going to date? (Oh, please don't.) #3: Is Cassie going to date the arrogant/annoying doctor? (I think I already know the answer to this, but at least tell me it won't be the main focus of the show, or that at least, it will be good and not as cliched as I'm predicting it will be.) #4: Is the horny slut cafe owner who keeps chasing for the arrogant/annoying doctor going to stay? #5: Is any of it, at all, going to be about magic, and not just stupid romances, high school drama, and comedy cliches? #6: If answers to above questions aren't good, will you please draw up a list of just the *good* episodes?
