    Its more like the fact that the separatist started hostilities by trying to assassinate amidala, and with the trade federation blockaded naboo. If I were the jedi or the Republic I would have started close tabs on the separatist the moment they blockaded naboo, and after the invasion of naboo.

Let's say an assassin tries to kill a U.S. senator so an FBI agent is investigating. That agent tracks that assassin to Mexico or something and once found the assassin flees to Russia. That FBI agent proceeds without authorization to go into Russia, THEN spies on a meeting within the executive branch of the Russian government (or whatever, I don't know how the Russian government works) then the Russians discover this spy, tries him and sentences him to death, then the United States launches a full scale invasion of Russia. Even though the FBI agent entered that foreign nation illegally and without any authorization and for some reason decided to spy on Putin in the Kremlin. That's basically what happened, Geonosis wasn't part of the republic, it was a foreign nation and Obi (as much as I like him) did something pretty shady... Oh then the US senator travels to Russia illegally, then murders a bunch of people (Anakin and Padme killed those bug people who were just defending their home)

    This is even funnier if you take into account that the Republic would usually claim that some separatist were monsters brcause they were willing to kill surrendering enemies ... When the republic troops and even the Jedi themselves had a kanc for using fake surrender tactics during all of the clone wars and thus giving the CIS a very valid reason on why not to take prisioners as they might part of a trap. It would be one thing if they just told the two worlds to play nice, but they actively sided with the side that was trying to _enslave_ the other. Even though Palpatine probably made this so, he would still have to get _someone_ within the republic to put forward that specific plan, and then convince enough people to go through with it.

The Separatist Senate was composed of decent people that truly wanted the planets of the CIS to change for the better, but the CIS was also plagued by greedy businessmen like Nute Gunray. The problem of the CIS is that their villains were more apparent than their heroes.

    To be honest Grevious' bloodlust is understandable, since pre-cyborg, he was a commander who protected his species from the Huk who wanted to enslave his people. And when he started pushing them back the Republic sent Jedis which screwed it all up and made the Khaleesh seem like the bad guys. And after that he did get convinced that the Jedi were the ones who bombed his ship, and knowing that he already hated the Jedi it makes sense how he believed that.

They try to think of themselves objectively neutral yet they fear the dark side to their very core. Their talk of peace is just a facade, just a mask to hide their emotions behind before they all fell to their knees in due time. *join the dark side, we have cookies*

  • @solsunman383

    @solsunman383

    3 жыл бұрын

    This is unsupported by any evidence but very likely as a necessary evil. To counteract the overwhelming and underhanded tactics of the republic (for example, Anakin abusing a parlé and attacking during a truce or the assassination of a CIS Senator), I'm sure the Parliament supported some of Grievous' more extreme measures as a necessary escalation. However, there were very likely many individual members of the Parliament who abhored his brutal ways but were powerless to act, due to their power being sidelined. Furthermore, the CIS had a strong hold on propaganda and it's very unlikely that many of the true attrocities were distributed to the Parliament and instead only known to members of the Separatist Council. As such, I'm sure Grievous was very likely seen as a war hero throughout the CIS, much as Anakin was in the Republic. However, in truth, both were actually being shaped into genocidal maniacs by the horrors of war.

    i want to see shows/movies that invert the original and the prequel trilogies showing the perspective of the written evils. seeing the people who we are told to not care about also go through the same if not worse experiences at the hands of the corrupt republic or the effects of the destruction that the rebels caused would show that the way things were handled were horrid on both sides.

    Mr Geetslt's; Sir I agree for the most part. As in the example of old Rome. It was not an event but process. It failed from within. As is all great society a rise then a steady decline. Symptoms of empire and greed by a few. Then of taxation without representation goes. An industrial complex is created that benefit the elite who think there above the law. Until a single unifying person or people comes along and says "wait hold on let's think this situation thur. Look what they have done to us we can change all this" "Will you join me?

    It be cool if there were a story where the clones over power their controlling chips and the droids somehow develope an Advance A.I that they make an alliance with the clones and they both end up destroying the jedi and sith.....

    The Seperatists were my favorite of the two factions. Despite the Sith and General Grevious, I think they led a more moral war using droids. They didn’t put their people in danger or make an army of slaves.
