1:23 funny thing, they do use mash potatoes as frozen yogert. Since frozen yogurt melts too quickly, potatoes are easier to use as a replacement on set.

The first character death. The Neighborhood.

Died mashed potatoes is used a lot when filming or photographing ice cream, because it doesn't melt between takes and with all the hot bright lights around.

This is among my favorite episodes. I just love their "last party before we head to the bad place" party...all the nice moments between the characters...and making Michael an honorary human... Also, (and I know you've finished the series at this point, so not spoilers but... SPOILER WARNING if you haven't seen the whole series) several seeds planted for future episodes like Michael telling Eleanor and Chidi how they fell in love (Chidi gave Eleanor a tissue before she needed it - which we get to see later)...and Chidi's garbage disposal analogy...and Chidi wishing they had met the way normal people do, with her knocking on his office door to ask about philosophy (which she actually does later)...

The honorary human scene really just makes my heart melt to see every time I see it.

why did Micheal sound like a sad toddler when he asked if Eleanor was mad at him 😂

1:21 Fun Fact: Pretty much all ice-cream you see in movies and TV is actually mashed potatoes with food colouring. They do this so that they can do multiple takes and not have the ice-cream melt.

Holy shirt, there's a huge bit of foreshadowing in this episode that I somehow never noticed! No spoilers, but damn, the writers played the long game!

Idk what you're referring to, but if you're talking about the Eleanor-Chidi conversation, i wouldn't call it a long game. That scene would happen 3 episodes later.

@@IceMetalPunk i get that. This show is really fast paced. Lol. But i distinctly remember that the season 2 finale was about Eleanor's progress on Earth and it ended with her making it to Australia and meeting Chidi Anna Kendrick in his office.
