    I've had the non hero version of the g502 for almost 2 years now and it has been really good for me. It hasn't started to double click at all and overall it's stupidly durable for the price. The only complaint I would have is the cable getting in the way, and some parts of the cable twisting (though that could be due to the cable having stress put on it). 10/10 would buy again. Nice Video

    Thank you! I have felt exacly the same about my one, would definitely get another one. But it wasn't logical for me to get mouse with a cable when I will be travelling a lot and I didn't want to pay €150 for the wireless version. So the G305 was the pefect candidate.

    @@Tachyshor you see I had a issue with the miles where it wasn't really a double click that was the problem it was just moving the mouse around and when holding down the trigger button, it would just lose the grip and click instead

    Something else you might want to look at is getting one of those hard surface type mouse pads. They are awesome very simple to clean and will last a very long time. I used one of those extra thick cloth type mouse pads with Stitched Edges that was washable. I paid $20 dollars for it and ended up washing it every 3 months to keep it up to par it lasted 3 years. Since then I bought the Corsair MM1000 which is a hard surface type mouse pad for $40 dollars. I owned the Corsair MM1000 mouse pad for 3 years now and the thing still looks like brand spanking new. I don't think I'll have to buy another mouse pad for many more years.

    Interesting recommendation! Will take a look for sure! I haven't yet got to feel one in the flesh, but I would like to give it a shot. Would probably make it a bit easier to keep it clean for the videos. But I have heard that it isn't great for your mouse feet, is there any truth around that? Have you noticed any significant damage compared to the cloth one you had previously?

    I've just purchased the G-502 Hero.. I also ordered a decent mouse mat with it.. I chose it for gaming & I can see why its rated so highly... I'm also using all of the weights that came with it... I don't find the weight a problem. Re-playing through Bioshock & with the .38 getting a lot of head shots in there.... best mouse I've ever owned.

  • @severinevans346
    @severinevans346 Жыл бұрын

    I use a the G502 hero myself with all the weight in the mouse. People ask me why the reason for that is that I use higher sensitivity so I don't have to move the mouse as far and it gives me a good weight to anchor it with. The sniper button also helps in that regard too. So it's exactly what I needed exactly when I needed it.

    I've used G305 for about 3 years now. It is usually alright. My hands were getting crumped up and had a lot of wrist pain, which was alleviated largely by getting a better keyboard instead of the flat small keyboard I had (Logitech K380). So I wanted something bigger and heftier, thumb rest and whatnot, G502 seemed interesting. Also many people consider it to be the best mouse so I wanted to check it out. It's funny how we had the stories reversed. I got the G502 Lightspeed and I'm using it with all the weights put in, in wireless mode. It's been a several days and feels good to use. When you pick up G502 and G305 back to back, you feel the weight difference but during regular usage, G502 glides easily and I don't have issues controlling it. I like the weight to it, it's not day and night but it feels firm. I still use G305 for my day to day work, and usually spare G502 for gaming only to not wear it down as fast. Haven't gotten fully used to it yet but liking it so far. The sniper button is useless to me, and it was removable in G502X versions but I didn't want that because I think scroll wheel of the previous versions are better. Also I don't have a use for DPI change buttons, who has use for all these buttons in their default configuration?.. I don't know how to use the programming software and even then, what would I assign to them. Maybe one day the buttons will be useful to me. Maybe for programming related shortcuts will see.

    Hello! I'm in doubt that maybe others are, too. How to adjust the sensitivity of the scroll? Other brands have to adjust the speed that the scroll responds to by the software, in logitech there is no such setting.

  • @MarioDuch

    @MarioDuch

    Hey! Yea you're right, there is no such option of adjusting the scrolling speed in Logitech's software. But you can switch between a step-by-step scroll and a never-ending scroll on the physical mouse itself, by pressing the buttom above the wheel.

For true commitment, I do have an ancient MX laser mouse from 2004 is still going strong and yes it's still in use (but that PC isn't used for gaming). Logitech's mice for me have a proven reliability track record in lasting many years going way back to the 90's. Not their other gear. And I do wish their software wasn't so... Crummy.

I've bypassed it for now by setting left click to the right key on the computer, but thought it was time to get a better mouse ) After watching this, I think I will get used to the weight and save 😄Edit - pending one inconsistency I need to check on the website

    @unholydonuts Great so far! Now, this is my first good mouse so the rubber cable was not a downgrade for me. I did notice that my index finger began to get a little sore from clicking (even though I'm just doing editing and not gaming), but I was using a very old mouse so I'm not sure if this one is actually stiffer or that my old mouse's buttons were just nearly dead. I alternated to left-clicking with my middle finger part of the time, and my index finger is starting to get used to it. The only thing I've felt hold me back is that on this older model you cannot change the left-right scroll speed, and I'd prefer it to be set faster. Loving the ability to zoom in and out with my thumb, as well as the extra thumb button (atm its set to slow down the tracking speed when I can't grab a pesky clip, but I may switch it to the control key instead)

    I haven’t used the Basilisk myself, but from what I have seen it looks pretty good, especially if your main priority is gaming and you want to sync the RGB with other razed peripherals. I would personally still go for the G502 myself, I like the design a bit more and I have other Logitech gear too. If you want to be a successfull youtuber you need to put your heart in your work. But in this case you assumed something wrong and tought the viewer something completely wrong.
