The golden plate and the big "dish" (which was not included in the video, I think) indicate that the people back then were familiar with complex mathematics. BTW gold was used for decorative purposes mainly. Salt had a lot more value and was the prime currency because it is essential for preserving food and holding cattle in general. So the salt production facility by the town of Provadia, which is near Varna, is probably a more important ancient site. It is surrounded by the oldest stone fortress in Europe.
Wow, what an eye-opener. Thanks for posting. Would love to visit the museum.

I'd like to know where did they mine all that gold from? Perhaps there is more gold to be found in the area.

@@huskytail These mines are north of Stara Zagora, in a mountain that is now called Sredna Gora. They represent "holes" in the ground and there are many preserved.

WHY is his hammer shaft a poly resin? Is that glass? Had to have been set that way after?
@Archaeos0up

Yes, it's just for museum display of parts in correct orientation. Likely glass as that's a fairly inert substance.

@@Archaeos0up excellent!! thanks for the reply!
Why is the Yanomami tribe similar to the stone skull of Varna with stick piercings. And why is Varna one of the oldest pyramid of Europe?
"People were not merely gathering gold and wealth but rather more valuably gathering human relationships and interconnectivity" So we can rather assume in that necropolis lies the earliest female gold digger.
