i just played mafia 2...i really thought the graphics were the same lvl as this game had. Cant even Remember now seeing this video that the graphic were that bad. Would love a remaster/remake or just another Game in general.

I honestly like playing this game as much as I like watching the movie. Taking over NY is fun. Still have yet to get all the achievements even after all these years.

genius game, imagine a remastered version with more to do after becoming Don of NYC, that'd be sick.

This is my favorite game I remember playing back in 2006 one of my favorites when I was 15 years old having this game now I am 26 I love myself I remember my mother took to Beltway Plaza Mall in Greenbelt, Maryland I bought it from Gamestop then she was out shopping while I was in the car looking inside bookelt of The Godfather The Game it came with a map in every compund cities and towns in New York City inside so cool I couldn't wait to play it I spend some days and nights finishing the game and I did I love this game always be my favorite even the movie is a classic and I played it.

Played this when I was 8 after my dad's friend from work gave us his xbox back in 2008 with a bunch of games. Fun times in life

I'm thinking playing this game over again I still have it.

I remember last playing this game 4 and a half years ago, after initially playing it 6 years ago. I rose to the last rank as don of new York. This game made me intrested in buying the godfather movie after seeing it a few times before first playing this game. I have all three godfather movies.

Got this again for the first time and I forgot how great this mission is. Such a shame the animation style was changed in the sequel because, and I don't know why, but I adore the designs of the characters in this game

I've got all 3 godfather movies on vhs, all 2 tapes. Last time I watched all 3 was a marathon while I was in jail back in 2015 or 16

Thats a hell of a game.I have played it many times.

This game needs to be remastered on PS4-PS5 perfect game and I played it so much as a kid

This mission was way to easy for the final mission.

why they always fail to make michael face? eiter in godfather 1 or 2 michael face just different. they fail to make it or on purpose? because in scarface, tony monatana just like tony montana in the movie, but in godfather, michael just like somebody else.

+Karl Heinz Michael Corleone doesn't look like Al Pacino in Godfather because of Pacino's appearance in the Scarface game. I read that his contract forbade Pacino starring in other games.

+Karl Heinz Unfortunately not, but I remember reading this news back in the day on one of the gaming sites. You can also read on the Wikipedia, that Al Pacino decided to lend his image for the Scarface game instead of the Godfather. Hope this helps ;)

i remember playing this game on my psp ... good old times

I used to play this on my cousins PS2 whenever I'd go round to his. I got the PSP version and it was so bad versus this one, you couldn't even free roam and steal cars etc - just do missions.

Does anyone else notice that in both Godfather games, the characters all look more or less just like their movie counterparts except for Michael? To me both versions looked almost nothing like how Michael looks in the movies. They were able to make the other characters look mostly the same why was Michael so hard?

Actually it’s not that they didn’t want to make Michael look like Al Pacino, they literally couldn’t due to a contract, according to it Pacino was only allowed to give his likeness to scarface and not The Godfather, weird but that’s how i remember it at least

Does anyone know why Michael in the game is not at all like Al Pacino (neither in the 1st nor in the 2nd part)? The rest of the characters in the game all resemble their actors from the movie, some even straight copies.

i think it was the people in green clothing, i don't know why but they always managed to fire at me from blind sides, killing me every time. It was quite frustrating :p

It was a shame that you didn't get to wack Moe green or Carlo in this game other than that it was a really good game

I wish they used mikes real face. I think I read that it had something to do with Sierra games holding the rights for their Scarface game

Your right I've played GTA before but both Godfather games are better because of their storylines. Also the second one is better than the first Godfather game due to it has the option of building your own empire throughout New York, Florida, and Cuba.
