ya. hope she is well. this isnt the only interview where she had surgery. there was that interview with her and kathy in the 80s were she showed a scar.

Liked their music, but they come across as man haters now. I remember the lead singer of Heart being offered a solo deal, and she would not abandon her band. -That's HEART!

Went to whats seems 100's of shows at Cobo... J Geils 12 times just at Cobo alone....It was a crappy sports arena sans Big Time Wrestling but a fantastic concert hall.....

Still there the structure that is.. Tied in with Cobo Hall as a convention center and is actually is really cool what they did with the arena portion. Was there for an event a couple months ago.

The Go Go's were inducted in the RRHOF two years ago.

Always had massive crush on Jane and still do, but damn Kathy's eyes are so beautiful! As she ages they get more and more gorgeous! ❤️

Belinda's and Jane's body language when Kathy is talking about conflict near the end, haha. There will never be a Go-Go's without dysfunction, but I'm glad Kathy ended up returning.

Finally ! At 7;23 Jane lets it be known that they were the first all female band that wrote all their own songs and played all their own instruments ! Talk about knocking down doors ! The Go Go's conquered continents ! Thank you Go Go's ! I couldn't imagine growing up in the 80's without your music .

Belinda has such amazing stage presence.

my oh my. look at these wonderful and amazing women. aged or not you can still see the real beauty in and out. ups and downs or friends or enemies they are sisters which will never change. conflict is normal and all learned from those. they are true gems and powerful role models.

They were and still are my favorite band. They are always in any playlist I make. Also the first concert (Vacation tour with A Flock of Seagulls), and the first album I ever bought....they are timeless!

It's great, I was 17 when The Gogo's started, then I was 41 and saw them in Central Park, and Broadway @ 58 What a long strange trip it's been. I missed this CBS Sunday Morning interview. Glad I cought it now. Good Luck Lady's for future shows.

They're making or made a documentary.

Amazing they have lasted all these years. They had a lot of internal and resulting legal issues but they came together. Perhaps for themselves or they put their fans ahead of the squabbles. Nice to see that they still have the edge!

It really blows my mind that no one wanted to signed a record deal with this band because it was an all girl group . They wrote and played there own music !

Have an older sister that got me into see The Go Go's at the Starwood when I was maybe 13. A week or so later it was seeing Motley Crue at the same place. What a time to be alive. Hard to believe its been that long ago.

So happy Kathy Valentine is back...The Go-Go's dynamic just seemed off without her! Have always been a huge fan since I was a kid and to still see these ladies Rocking it in their 60's is amazing. All of them look great as ever and Belinda is always ravishing!

Kathy and Gina were the only two pure musicians in the band. The other three girls learned as they went they couldn't read music or play instruments but they learned quickly. They partied hard but they were all business when it counted. If they wouldn't have replaced Kathy in 2013 I think they would have been in the Hall by now. Since they have made up with Kathy who was stand up the whole time it was too little too late IMHO .

These gals have always been my favorite girl band. Sure I love the Bangles, had a massive crush on Joan Jett, and who doesn’t love the two sisters in Heart. But like they said - these ladies write play and sing all their own music. No male bandmembers and no male songwriters. 100% female top to bottom. and their songs sold millions. Who else does that?

I love my GOGOs Jane Gina Kathy and Charlotte and are my beautiful GOGOs so great

The one semi-successful band of all women was "Fanny". They were rock and rollers from the early 70's. 2 sisters, June and Jean Millington on guitar and bass. June was an excellent guitarist who also played a great slide guitar. Jean was bass and could sing and scream beautifully. Alice DeBuhr was the drummer and Nicky Barclay on keyboards. They all wrote. I LOVE the Go-Gos! "Our Lips Are Sealed" is a personal favorite and THEY SHOULD BE IN THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME!!!

they're just so amazing and oh come on, any group does have ups and downs. they're human beings and have own emotions as well as ambitions so there will definitely be clashes but you cant always look at fights or disagreements as bad as they seem. you gotta look at them at different angles which definitely makes the sisterhood a lot stronger.

A couple of years ago at my church’s Armenian festival I saw a young Armenian-American woman that was was a spitting image of Jane Wiedlin from The Go-Go’s early days when their first album came out! She was dressed like her from the early 80’s and had the same short curly hair only she had tattoos on her arms and was buying Baklava and other mid eastern pastries! lol The resemblance was uncanny and just shows you that the 80’s are overwhelmingly back here in the 2010’s!

Jane is STILL hot!

Did the Runaways, another all girl band precede the go go's? Just wondering. Best wishes to Gina for a quick recovery. The Runaways formed in 1975, the Go Go's in 1978. I did some checking.

The Runaways and many other bands including Fanny were all-girl bands, but never had a pop "hit". Cherry Bomb peaked at "bubbling under the hot 100" at number 106. They WERE big in Japan, however...

Yes, Runaways were first. If an all female group is to be inducted in the Rock and Roll hall, that should be the Runaways (even tho I really don't like Joan as a person , she is a good guitar player) also they do owe an apologise to Jackie Fox.

I went to HS with Gina Shock. She was a hoot. Unbelievably funny

So in the 1980s, two all female bands that played their instruments, wrote their songs, and sang: The Go Go's and The Bangles. Weird fact - one member of the Go Go's has written and performed with The Bangles - do you know who? Answer: Charlote Caffee - who co-wrote with the Bangles "Something That You Said." I do find it fascinating although both of these bands were all-female in the 1980s, we have not had another successful one after these two since then. Where did the all-female bands go?

I recently watch a video where one rock super star was saying that the Rock n roll hall of fame doesn't belong to the people...its just run by four guys who think they are the Gods of Rock and they decide who get in and who doesn't.. To not have the Go-Go's in just shows they're out to lunch!!

It was just one guy who is inducted twice. once for his solo career and once with his band. He did not mention their names.. I would guess it can be researched easily.

The reason people still pay attention to the Go-Go's isn't because they broke down barriers, but because ultimately they didn't. I don't think there's been an all-female band this century that's even had a top ten record, much less a #1. When today's youngsters see them on TV, it is literally something they have never seen before.

I really lust over the Go Gos and Shayley Ann Harris.
