Ikr, I was worried since the poster came out bcs she was in the poster with Myeong-O, and that scene got me even more worried 🙃

So removing your shoes before entering someone’s house is a sign of respect in korea. Yeon Jin didn’t bother to remove hers, and even light out her cigarette by stepping on it in the house, showing that she sees Dong Eun (or ppl living in houses like that) below her. The fact that Yeon Jin’s husband removed his shoes before entering her house shows that he respects Dong Eun, and in turn, he gains Dong Eun’s respect as well. But of course Yeon Jin had to be a bitch and throw that chance away lol

Lol RJ’s “he’s a little Zaddy” took me ouuutttt!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 And like everyone is commenting, not taking your shoes off before entering someone’s home in korean culture is very rude, so DongEun was moved by DoYeong when he did because YeonJin does this regularly looking down on everybody. And the Siesta store bags he just finally noticed them, she has been cheating on him literally for 12yrs and he never caught on even though it was obvious.

Yes! And this is me deep diving way too deep into that scene, but because they flashed quickly to her sneakers in the hallway outside teen Dong Eun's tiny, moldy one-room inn she shared with her mom: despite Dong Eun's poverty she always took off her shoes before entering that moldy room "stained with hatred" because it's still her home, and a home is one's safe space. Her bullies ambushed her inside that safe space, not only disrespectfully walking in with their shoes on but making fun of Dong Eun that she took hers off. Even in that desperate moment when she needed to stop them from raiding her piggy bank, she still took time to take her shoes off. That's why it was so touching to adult Dong Eun to watch the husband on spycam take the care to take his off at the entrance.

One last cultural context thing related to teen Dong Eun's house. Those tiny rooms are one step away from homelessness for poor Koreans. They're literally just a walk-in closet-sized room with no plumbing (shared bathrooms are outside). Get evicted from one of them because you couldn't afford rent and you're on the streets.

Omgggg my fav kdrama its sooo good

Rewatching the show the blue bags were always there. But like the husband we weren't suppose to notice it until it became obvious. Yes, the bags meant the cheating she did on him over the years. I can't wait for the rest of your reactions to the other episodes. Y'all ain't ready, I finished the show in one day, the same day it came out. It was that good 😂. In the scene where Dong Eun's handsome simp doctor friend (not quite a boyfriend) visits his also doctor mom, the way she describes her late murdered husband/simp's also doctor dad helps explain why the dad moved murder victim Sohee's corpse from the morgue to the freezer. That man was so compassionate he tried to save the life of a grapist/killer only to have that same man kill him. We learn Sohee's grieving mom is deaf and no one takes her seriously that her daughter didn't commit suicide; it was murder. So now let's put two and two together.

I like how there is no definite reason for sweet home guy to love dong eun our main girl just like how these bullies had no reason to bully her. Like if someone can hate for no reason, there must be someone who will just love without any special reason.

-Myeong-oh asked Dongeun for the name tag because it was evidence that yeon-jin killed sohee. -The girl with the burns is the student they bullied after dong-eun (main girl) dropped out. The girl works as yeon-jin’s assistant. -The scene where Yeon-Jin’s husband (Doyeong) looks at the bags is about the times she have been over to Jaejun’s store to fuck him. -When all the bullies were talking. Basically myeong-oh (neck tattoo) implies one of them killed sohee. Yeon-Jin is the suspect but jaejun covers for her saying they were together. Hye-jeong says that yeonjin was the one who told her to call/ meet up with sohee the day she died. -when Sohee fell of the roof she instinctively grabbed yeon-Jin name tag. Dongeun was there that day and saw her fall. She found the name tag and anonymously turned it in to the police hoping for them to investigate the case. The cop used it to blackmail yeon-jin’s mom to get money.

Agree with all points except the last one. Did the cop blackmail or was he just a simp for Yeon Jin's mom at the time and doing her a favor? At the start of the show Yeon Jin is brought to the police station because Dong Eun filed a violence report, but the simp cop just lets Yeon Jin go without any investigation and Yeon Jin asks if this is because he and her mom are dating. He says no, they're just old friends from middle school. Yeon Jin teases the cop, "Oh, so you're like my mom's Myeong O" (Myeong O/neck tattoo as a teen was the bully group's dog; their lowest ranking member along with Hye Jeong who did as he was told)

Probably helped the cop out in the past money wise when younger. Helped each other out of trouble for their nuisance behaviors. Lord knows what else then done in the past.

She even tells him in one episode that everything his has is thanks to her. He is like Myeong-oh because he does the dirty work and is at their call. (At least at that time). Hence why later he kept myeong-oh’s body. (This doesn’t mean he hasn’t slept with her but he is not a simp)

the bags literally represents how many times yeon-jin was unfaithful, love how they did that.

What's more fun for me rn is that till today I was watching the series with you guys lol I also started it recently but just binged the whole part 2 today out of anxiety lmao. It's been like a venting session finishing an episode and watching your reaction lol.

I was so stressed out at the moment when Hyunnam was caught by Yeonjin at a parking lot in the middle of night

the assistant is the girl they bullied after moon dongeun (the main girl), so that assistant is still stuck with the same group since high school cuz she clearly has a job in a boutique owned by one of the bulies and yeah she still gets bullied to this day. And she also recognizes the main girl from school that is why we see her reactions throughout.

Every single ending of the episodes in part 2 got me completely shook!! You guys are in for a ride!!!

Yes! I binge watched both parts last Friday (I couldn’t torture myself and watch the first part and wait 2 months for the next part) and I literally stayed up all night cause the cliffhangers had me going to the next episode without taking a break. I had to know what was going down!
