God Bless your community. Stand firm in your faith. If a Christain is not filled with the Holy Spirit, they cannot fully know God's Word. Pray for believers that they receive the Holy Spirit. I know many believe that this happens at salvation, but is never hurts to pray to the Lord that He fill us.

One thing you have avoided addressing is: how will you handle the LGBTQ children and adults who will inevitably appear from within your membership? Many countries of the global south stipulate prison sentences for, or execution of, LGBT people. Will the GMC tacitly embrace such brutality?

Well I can’t answer for the GMC but the Bible calls LGBT to come to Christ to be saved and calls churches to lovingly share the message of available salvation with them. Not to lie to them and tell them they have no need for salvation (or anyone, all people are sinners, not one person is without need of a savior). It doesn’t do them any favors to not share the truth with them. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 “Don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God's kingdom? Do not be deceived: No sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, or males who have sex with males, no thieves, greedy people, drunkards, verbally abusive people, or swindlers will inherit God's kingdom. And some of you used to be like this. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”

@@katherineflaherty3564 If we are talking about two people of the same sex who love each other and have shown they can be faithful to each other, where is the sin? Surely it cannot be a sin to love one another until death? I had a ring exchange with my same-sex partner in a church, and we were together for 20 years, until his death. And that, in your reckoning, is a sin? I think you need to re-evaluate what sin is. I know of tons of heterosexuals whose marriage did not last 20 years, and ... you have no problem?

@@fredphilippi8388 I am so sorry for your loss of your partner. I don’t know how long ago that was but grief is so hard. As to your comment on heterosexuals divorcing quickly - that is also against God’s design for marriage (such as in Matthew 19:1-9 and Ephesians 5:22-33). As to your statement “in your reckoning” about if something is sin - it’s not good for us to decide what we think is sin or what is not sin. It really doesn’t matter what I think. God is judge and we will all stand before him when he will judge us all by *his* standard, not by how we lived up to our own standard, or someone else’s standard, or even a denomination’s standard. We need to learn about what God our Creator says is sin. Thankfully God our Creator and Judge also was willing to become God our Savior for us, since no one can live up to God’s standard.

I love how these people talk about how everyone is welcome, etc... Oh, except if you are gay. Apparently God hates gays (even though he created them and all), and so it's important that there is this Global Methodist Church to make sure that gays are excluded. It seems these people look forward to the day of Judgement where God is going to say to them, "Well done good and faithful servant for condemning and excluding gays! They are irredeemable sinners, and no one should listen to anything they say, be served by them in any way, and certainly if they say they love someone and it's someone of the same sex...you should banish them from your midst. Although I am the Lord your God who so loved the world, I don't approve of anyone who loves another person of the same sex. Those people should be banished!" As a person discerning faith, I'm embarrassed for these people.

I'm not a part of the Methodist Church but i Highly disagree that Homosexuality is Ok to be practiced by anyone who claims to be Christian and im highly against especially the ordination of any to be clear God does not hate Homosexuals but wants them to Repent and believe and be Saved and be transformed into His likeness as Christian we can not hate and well as of me i don't hate them but the Bible is Highly clear on Homosexuality in both old and new testaments.

@@Giancarlo_1997 People believe a lot of things both ways on the issue. I guess the point is, can you prove where in the Bible that God is against homosexuality (speaking of monogamous relationships between adults)? And context is key in both the Old and New Testament. So often people read the bible in translation and draw opinions from the translations without understanding the original meaning. Now, I am not saying that the Bible supports homosexuality, but it certainly does not condemn it. Also, I agree that all people, gays and straights, need to believe and be saved and be transformed into his likeness. The Bible, especially the New Testament, doesn't seem to like marriage, or sex, at all. Jesus said that in the world to come that neither will be married nor given in marriage. Jesus was never married and neither were most of the apostles. Paul seemed to think that marriage was kind of a state for people who couldn't resist sexual urges and so it was better to be married and have sex with just one person, then to live la dolce vita like the pagans were doing. In protestantism, marriage isn't even a sacrament. Even in the Catholic Church, if someone converts and they were previously married in any ceremony (civil or religious), they are not required to have a "Catholic Wedding". But going back to the Bible, what you'll see in the references to homosexuality they are really taking about ritualized sex as part of pagan worship and what we would call pedophilia nowadays. The bible certainly has no stories about some random gay dudes (or lesbian couple) living together, raising their dogs, and hosting dinner parties. It's always in a much different context. On the day of judgement, I do not think that excluding Christian gay people, in monogamous relationships, is going to win points with the Lord. In fact, the religious leaders of today will likely face the harsh judgement from our Lord that he gave to the religious leaders of His day.

@@thomascurry4762 here are some verses that say the contrary that it does speak of it as shameful sinful and as an abomination in both Old and New testament Leviticus 20:13,Romans 1:26-28,Leviticus 18:22,Romans 1:27,1 Corinthians 6:9-11,1 Timothy 1:8-10. So those are some verses from both N and O Testaments. Remember that God sees all sins as Equal in His sight and Homosexuality is no more sinful than all others yet obviously it is a serious one as all other sexual sins and other kinds. God does not Hate Homosexuals but He does hate the sin and desires for all to come to Him for salvation and to be transformed into His likeness. I myself am No better than someone who is Gay Lesbian or Bi or any other sexuality than Hetrosexual (For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God)Romans 3:23 struggling with lust or lusting after a woman as a Hetrosexual is just as sinful as homosexual attraction its not a sin to struggle with the attraction its what you do and how you respond to that attraction do you go and have homosexual sex or any sexual activity or dating or do you have the self control and abstain from it etc.The temptation to engage in homosexual behavior is real to many people and Christians as well who come from that background and past lifestyle. Here is an article that accurately describes or says what the Bible says about Homosexuality👇 www.gotquestions.org/homosexuality-Bible.html I do not hate any LGBTQ+ people but i do desire for them to be saved and receive eternal Life in Christ Jesus.
