Me and all people who don't live in a country where english is the first language spoken have to do a great effort trying to learn english, and unfortunately in my country school lessons aren't enough to be able to speak this language. Personally, I want learn english better than at school because in my future job it can be useful, or it can give me an alternative if my principal job doesn't satisfy me. But since everything around us is in english, and when someone wants to travel he has to know english language, or simply if someone loves listen to music most of songs are in english, I feel that I absolutely have to learn english, it will give me an enormous gratification.

i speak portuguese i always wanted to learn english but after the internet event i don't see any need anymore, because i can communicate with anyone in any part of the world, unless i were going to live in an english speaking country but this is not my case, so studying English today for me is just a hoby

The more morden the life is, the more importance English language have. It's help for your work, business and traveling aboard. But i dont think using English to teach all subjects in secondary school is a good way for student can get good english skill.
