The Global Community-Based Education Program at the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE).

Global Community-Based Education (CBE) convenes advanced international health science students at UGHE in Butaro, Rwanda, for an immersive, hands-on community-based learning experience. In this three-week program, 70% of the course takes place in community settings, while the remaining 30% is classroom-based and interactive, allowing for dynamic discussion.
Global CBE participants will have the opportunity to engage with equitable, holistic health provision in communities, local organizations, cooperatives, and schools, among other learning platforms, where community and grassroots agency is central. This intense and innovative program demonstrates the need for reciprocity between local realities and global perspectives in designing effective and equitable health programs.
