As a proud England &Tigers fan for over 40 years, the Red Roses have been exemplary in all aspects of what rugby means. Teamwork, passion, fight, drive & effort. But the most impressive area for me, that all other England sides must follow is the fan engagement & love! The media work, podcasts post match fan meets etc etc is 'THE BEST IN THE WORLD IN ANY SPORT' My 5 year old daughter wants to play rugby & be a Rose because of all of you. Players, staff, media, everyone! #RosesonRed

Fantastic game and what an achievement such a shame that the most successful England team, male or female, in any sport does not get the media coverage it truly deserves

Excellent win and very proud of the girls. Not a faultless performance (France’s second try was a bit soft) but it’s good to have things to improve on. Having been at the Ireland game, it was great to see the Roses tested and come through the test. Roll on the World Cup!

The tactic change from last week v the Irish was impressive. They knew the French would bring it in front of a hostile crowd. They had to play it in their faces and close them down. Such strength and bravery, love em. Oh, love the way John Mitchell refers to them as " The Girls" . As indeed do they. As indeed does a coach call a male team " The Boys". Good job John didn't get interviewed by the BBC......

Glad the team won and given people are still emotional about the game, I won’t comment on individual players performances or the overall team performance. So I would be interested in stimulating peoples opinion regarding the standard of officiating of the tournament. Good, bad, indifferent? Improved since the World Cup, the same, worse? Keeping up with the increasing standard of play or lagging behind?

The back three successfully adapted their game to a different plan to beat France. Just because they did not run in a host of tries in this game does not mean they were poor. They did a lot of good work if you had been watching instead of feeding your bigotry.

Easy folks, I think we are all England fans here. Perhaps everyone could put their emotions on hold and put forward cogent, analysis of the performance. For instance the coach himself said, re the second half “we had to hang on and like, D up”. That would be the hanging on against a 14 woman French team by the ‘number one’ team in the world. Now there are interesting dynamics involved when teams go down to 14, England have shown that in the tournament but should the ‘number one’ team in the world not be able to nullify this and use the extra player to its advantage? If it can’t and the coach said it - “we had to hang on and like, D up” it’s reasonable to assume the performance/ tactics could have / need to be better. So it’s also reasonable to ask where were England’s failings because, I don’t know about you but I want England to win the World Cup by a country mile.😊

To. @ MARTINA-gc3tqc. The team played to a plan, and it worked !Sometimes you have to play’ugly ‘ to win. Our’ flat-track-bullies’ were not part of the match strategy - I assume that they will soon be back to their’bullying ways … ! I note that you gave no credit to the performance of the French team.👎 l get thoroughly peed-off when our successes are belittled ; in the UK we get little enough to cheer about .ENJOY.
