I had a friend in middle school like this. We both sang places alot, like church or school. She always missed practices and complained about how it gave her headaches, while i worked hard on my music. We were the only people in out grade who sang. Classmates would oo and ah over her voice whenever she was around. She would be like, “oh, I’m so bad at singing” then they would continue to compliment. I rarely ever got a compliment from a kid, only adults. She would hum and sing little riffs all day, while people showered her with confidence. It made me feel like i was a bad singer. Useless. Now, years later, she has gone really wild and refuses to sing anymore. She doesn’t like it. I am in a band, and sing in a different town every weekend. I still never get compliments from other teenagers, but i have come to accept that. I have so many adults who support me and compliment me daily. Don’t let other people bring you down. And never compare yourself to someone else ❤️

We didn’t like each other A LOT, and anytime we’d argue she’d say in that fake gentle or genuine voice “i don’t get it it (my name), why have you always hated me?” And then proceed to steal my pens, talk shit about me to my friends and trip me in the hallway (and fake apologise). I once got detention for throwing my bag at the back of her head. I always get anxiety on whether or not I was just crazy or she actually deserved it.

@@honeyeggs9145 there's a difference between a person being annoying + mean + hurtful vs abuse There is a real palpable difference, the advice i gave is how I handled being bullied: with manipulation and psychological warfare. Do i recommend u gaslight ur bullies until they forget why they don't like u? 100% I've never been thru an abuse situation I'm sorry you went thru something horrible, but please just do what's best in your ability to stay safe
