EIGHT-YEAR-OLD Monroe Wright was born without both of her eyes due to a condition known as bilateral anophthalmia. The condition occurs at an estimate of about 1 in 10,000 births. When Monroe's mum, Heaven, was told by the doctors that her daughter had no eyes, it came as a complete surprise as until this point nothing had been detected. Although it hasn’t been easy, Heaven was determined to show Monroe that she could still achieve everything she wanted. Heaven told Truly: “Monroe’s biggest strength is her adaptability, she could so easily be dependent on me but she is fiercely independent." Monroe loves to sing and act, and is fearless in her approach to everything she does. The pair have also set up a clothing brand called "Love Is Blind" with the mission to bring awareness to diversity and inclusion, while advocating for blindness.

OMG, you are so right! She has such a huge personality and has that “star” quality. I wonder what all she will do? She is definitely made for the arts and performing. She’s so talented with music and I can see her being successful in acting too. 😊

What a wonderful child! I am quickly going blind at 48 due to macular degeneration. I sometimes wish I had never seen at all because the loss is tremendous for an artist like myself. Best wishes to her. She is fortunate to have so much support, good job mom and dad.

I'm so happy her mom did research and introduced her to the blind community and gave her all the opportunities to achieve her potential. The younger the person is exposed to something the faster and easier they'll learn! Of course it isn't easy in a world that is built to exclude you (I personally understand that being disabled myself), but she'll thrive because of this (and of course, with this personality and energy it couldn't be any different)
U can tell she has great self esteem from how her mom talks to her

This is amazing I work with Kids with disabilities. Blind, autistic and behavioral issues. This definitely humbles a person and helps them to be very thankful for alll blessings.
