The Ghost Train of the Gap
What was the real story behind the tale relayed to Thomas and Toby by Percy all those years ago? Where did Percy's driver hear it; and is there any truth to it? tonight we shall dive into the mystery and of the forgotten story of the Ghost Engine of the Gap.
please note that I do not own anything used in this adaptation.
the original video is by MysticDana.
also, this will probably be the closest I come to a Timothy adaption.

i never even expected you were working on this remake adaptation, despite i have heard about the audio story before, your inspiration adaptation of the audio story just fit in so perfectly. despite it give me the chills about some of the scenes, you still did a great job on this adaptation on the audio story dude.

"Plunging into the gap." I've known this story for as long as I can remember, yet it is only after watching this that I finally understand what that quote actually means. Horrifying, and fascinating. My theories on the matter. If the engine did have brake problems, then that's probably what did it in. They most likely broke, yet if that engine was indeed possessed, then it wouldn't surprise me if the demon behind it took advantage of that terrible design flaw of a terribly designed engine (srsly; who needs a tank engine that large?). As for the man who got killed on the tracks, almost guaranteed it was suicide. No wise person is going to just walk across the tracks in the path of a moving train.

So you're suggesting someone else tried to make it look like an accident?
@someguy9293
4 ай бұрын
My theory is that it was just a simple accident. The engine had a terrible design and was prone to break failure. However, I think it was a human error. I think a signalman forgot to reset set one of the points, which set the Express train on the path towards the Viaduct. Afterward, public imagination ran wild, which led to the idea of it being the work of an unearthly force. Thomas's react to the story of 'Timothy' makes me think the 'demon' theory is just wild speculation, to word off unnecessary attention. The fact the ghost train appears every year since the accident, warning others, indicates that it was just an accident.
Happy to finally see this adapted. One of my favorite Thomas horror stories.
Man, Thomas was very hostile to subject of his older brother. At least Timothy wasn’t the one who crashed in the gap. He didn’t want his brother’s memory to be tarnished.

Nice of you to do this kind of adaptation to this. I thought it was a kind of discussion video on this video when I saw it. You did a great job here. Well done! Keep up the great work in your future videos!
Yeah, it was cool, in fact, on my DeviantArt Page, I made a Ghost Train story based off this one. Called,"The Ghost Train of Carlisle Bridge." I used the UMR2020 Route for the screenshot.
It is an interesting story, but the whole inclusion of Timothy at all, having Thomas want the writer dead is just awful. It's such a bad take, I had to write this comment, just to complain about this take. Also, the narrator is mediocre at best. He speaks way too quickly and doesn't try at all to add any eeriness to the lines, it just comes off as boring in the end. Although, the visuals are fantastic here! The choice of ghost engine is fantastic! Great adaption!

Holy moly, what a creepy video, I never saw you make a video with effects like that before, but, amazing video!!!
This is pretty good, keep up the good work!
I particularly liked your graphics - very nicely done, with lots of authentic old time engines appearing. And I definitely like the animated horse drawn vehicles. Can I make one small niggle? The Holden 101 tank engine - and you do specify the Hornby model - was a small, oil fired 0-4-0 shunter, a one off. The engine you show is a very, very accurate drawing of a small class of inside cylinder 'Prairie' tanks, allegedly rebuilt from withdrawn Dean Goods 0-6-0s - probably only using the wheels and 'goodwill'. In fact they were quite handly little engines, lasting for some years on the West Midland suburban lines.
The new visuals are great, though I still really wish the narrator had slowed the heck down. He talks so fast that I have trouble absorbing all the neat details the author included. This story definitely deserves a re-recording.
You did a great job on this keep up the good work do more videos like this one in the future wanted to try and do one about Henry the Green engine when he goes into the tunnel the sad story of Henry if you can keep up the good work
So now he roams around the island warning the other engines about evil spirits.
It runs every year as a warning to others. What's it warning them about, exactly? Don't go and get yourself possessed by demons?
@Kaidhicksii
2 жыл бұрын
That's the final question that needs to be answered. Once again employing the theory of Ockham's Razor - the simplest solution is usually the best one - I'm willing to guess that it's simply warning them about the bridge. It only makes sense given the circumstances.

4:39 Just gotta say, I love the detail of this newspaper. The man being interviewed is simply referred to as "generic workman" (which is really all he is anyway), as well as the statement from the Admiralty stating they won't go to war anytime soon. Yeah, we all know how that turned out.
The little green box engine would've been named Neil, and how did he came to be the part, of the Thomas wooden railway franchise as a little train for me. 😏😌😁
I like how one of the workmen was eating popcorn and wearing 3D glasses while watching the engine crashed.
Nice backstory for Percy's Ghost Engine.
Man with popcorn and 3d glasses: this is gonna be cool
One similar thing about this ghost train in your video and timothy is that both of them were prototype locomotives meanning they would have some issues with tehyre breaks

So this is where the whole Timothy nonsense comes from. Poor Thomas. Having his big brother being treated like that.
Timothy ghost train of the gap
A fine job! But, two minor things: I think you read through it a bit too fast, and I think the music volume needed to be a little quieter. But again these are minor and don't ruin the experience.

While I like this adaptation, my nit picking side is spewing through. As far as I know there's no public GWR 101 models, but you could've used the 2006 Lady and made the brass the rest of the engine's main colour. Besides that, I give this a 9/10

There has been a model - but many years ago. The Hornby model was originally issued as GWR No 101 - and, given that the valve gear is very simplified,( it should be Walschearts gear) - it was / is quite an accurate model for a low cost toy. However it hasn't been issued in that livery for a good many years, reappearing in a variety of fanciful colours in Christmas special sets and the like. The last one I remember seing was 'Tolgus Tin Mine'.
