The Ghost Ship - José Alberto Pina
Музыка
The Ghost Ship is based on the SS American Star transatlantic shipwreck. The ship was hit by a heavy storm and when it was being towed, the tug cut the cable for no apparent reason and the American Star went adrift. After several days without being spotted, it turned up on the beach of Garcey, Fuerteventura, where, split in two pieces, became the perfect setting for mysterious events. A work full of energy, mystery and intensity that will lead us through the cabins of this famous ghost ship.

Masterpiece played during our annual concert of Ste-Cécile (our patronness of musicians), Thiviers, France Great success, nourished applauses from the audience, a great moment for all of us, four percussionists. Climatic and telluric music, vibrations, emotions, intensity, peace. An "all-in-one" piece. We've already played "Pompei" 2 years ago. Same pleasure. See all above : D Merci Mr José !

Hey Dominique, I wish you all the best in these difficult times. I'm sure we will enjoy again playing music. Take care and stay healthy. Hugs! :)
Our conductor said in the beginning when we got handed the piece: "Normally there is a CD with sound FX, but we wont use it, we will play classical." Fortunately we were able to convince him with a few musicians, the CD adds so much! Awesome piece. Greetings from Belgium, Percussionist!

Any flute want to give me tips on how to play THAT FAST starting at bar X
@naishatodorovic7254
3 жыл бұрын
It's more or less a scale and doesn't have too many bad jumps, from what I can tell. Practice slowly and in little packages, then link everything together and speed it up. And if you can switch off with another flute, do it. That'll give you a bar or two to catch your breath. (also, it's so fast that most people won't notice if you skip a note here or there... it's just added movemement to the main melody) ;)
