Disney movies came on every Sunday night and my whole family would gather to watch. What a time to be young. A lot more simple time. Popcorn and cokes and home made cake to go with our movie. I loved it.

Back in the 60's we couldn't have cokes like they do today. Only got them in the summer months and could only have one 6oz bottle about 3 times a week. We would punch holes in the top with an ice pic and suck on those things for an hour. Just one of many great memories of a simpler time.

those were the times when values meant something and we were not subjected to the garbage of today. Tell me why is it ok for public schools to push their lies on our children about alternative life styles and we get told we can not even pray over our food. They say we might offend someone we are not supposed to even mention God Yet they can try and fill our children's heads with their lies and say that their choices are acceptable. Not in the eyes of God their not and they will find out the hard way you can not pick and choose the parts of the bible to believe. Sorry about my preaching its just they are constantly screaming about their rights well what about my rights and other christians. we have rights too, that they think nothing about trampling. We have a right to protect our children. I wish they would bring back the days when you knew it was safe to turn on a Disney movie and leave your children watching it with a coke and home made cake now we have to watch them first and not just skim them either because they are good at sticking things in that appear innocent to try and desensitize us so they can put more junk in.

We had one TV Channel when I was growing up in the 60s and mid 70s. We got a second one in 1977. All those Sundays my family never missed The Wonderful World of Disney. Sunday was heaven for a Canadian kid. TV catered to families more in those days. We had Disney, then the Six Million Dollar Man, then the Waltons, then the Beachcombers, then All in the Family. That became more adult oriented at that point...but by then it was bed time for me anyways. I sure miss those years.

He would be rolling in his grave and burned his studio to the ground before stooping so low as to produce some of the junk they do today. He was about family not about the mighty buck. His theme parks were made for a place for everyone to enjoy now only the rich can afford it between admission, the cost of food and not to mention hotels it is ridiculous. Then you have to add transportation to them. I used to work for Walt Disney World and if I did not get free tickets I would never have been able to go. I wonder how COVID19 is affecting them. They will have to come down on their prices when this is over or they will go under.

Thanks for a great show. I remember when the whole family would sit down on a sunday and watch the Disney show. And it was FREE believe it or not back in the old days. Cartoons on Saturday mornings free too just hours and hours of cartoons. That was the good life. All free now they charge you for the same stuff. This was good acting none of the wokeness stuff. These shows and old cartoons made you tough and kept you sane.

For the simple reason this movie is about the friendship and bond between the many and boy. In some ways, the boy seen himself as the man's caretaker especially once he realizes who he was. Then in the end the man seen himself as having human feelings - and probably somewhat a father figure - and did the right thing.

Well what do you know!!!I just watched a movie yesterday that was a lot like this one. It was about an 11 year old boy who got lost in the wilderness. He was found by a young aboriginal boy named Zane and Zane blindfolded him and took him to his village where there was a colony of his people. Bobby and Zane became friends in spite of only understanding a few words of each other’s language. Zane was captured by the townspeople and a doctor put him in a hospital to study him and he wanted to find the hidden valley to capture some of the aboriginal people to study them. Bobby had a terrible time trying to get Zane back to his people. It was a totally unrealistic movie but if you would be able to ignore the things in the movie that were❤ ❤❤just plain stupid and would never have happened it was an ok movie.
