I reckon he stole the show! Brilliant character played superbly!
As I watched, I said to myself, "Is... 🤔 is that Hugh Grant??" Amazing performance.
Just watched this for the first time over the weekend. Gonna watch again this week. Colin Farrell steals this film.

And Hugh Grant. I never used to like him much but Jesus he was phenomenal in this.
I want to see Matthew in more "Bad guy" roles because he fucking rocked it, in that movie!

Yeah he's usually more of a good guy, even in True Detective he's unorthodox but at heart he's a good guy. He can play a loveable bastard very, very well!

you will see him as a bad guy soon enough... he's entering US politics.

I've always favoured the term 'fuckery' for things beyond my control, my love!
Coach owned this movie.. Colin played so well he even outdone Guy Richie himself! 😎 Definitely one of the best movies ever filmed equal to Pulp Fiction.

It’s good, but nowhere near Pulp Fiction.
Class film
Do yourself a favor. Watch this with the subtitles on them watch it again. The comedy is hidden in seriousness. Which makes it even better!

If you’re British, Phuc with the subtitles as it’s just normal British sense of humour stuff. The double entendres do come thick and fast, but you’ll be ok as it’s been dumbed down for the mainstream film goers.

Colin Farrell makes the others seem like school boys who cannot quite express themselves.
From watching behind the scenes I figured out Coach’s boys were trying to kill Michael at the end, but instead they got the Russians. I always wondered how the boys knew the Russians were going to kidnap Michael? Meanwhile, back at the house, Coach killed the 2 Russians going there to kill Ray, thus helping out him & Michael.
As good as Matthew was in this. No performance he puts in will compare to Rustin Cole.

I rate Matthew McConaughey very highly and I totally agree, the role he played in True Detective was one of his finest. Much as I like Ray Velcoro Cole was my favourites and I was gutted when MC and Woody Harrelson didn't return in front of the camera for the remaining seasons post S1. You could at least feel their directing style though, a saving grace.
