This song has that real up beat summer hit sound to it musically for sure. But the tone is dripping with a wistfully depressed nostalgia and bleeds the fullness of the heartache of misted chances & loss. It's honestly so raw & haunting how juxtaposed the themes of the lyrics & vocals are to the music. It illicitly instilled a charming, almost enticing, lure to such a life. But also showed how hollow and painful it would be to do so. The perfect mix of messaging to make you almost feel like your the person in the song; Esscaping the pain & loss of their partner by chasing after them your last few hit's...one after and another to stay in that "Perfect Oblivion" where you lost them. 10/10 - Would cry again.

I agree with anyone suggesting you react to "Here's to Us" -- the song literally sounds like a song that would have charted on the Hot 100 and been all over rock radios in the early-mid 2000s. They're better than they have any right to be! 😂
