If there was one thing Borg was NOT, it was a serve and volleyer.

saw him play twice. first time in his prime years against tom okker, the second time in the senior tournaments against john mcenroe. precious memories. he will alwaysbe my tennis hero

Nice video but full of errors. I’m not even a journalist but as a Tennis fan I spotted several. Borg beat Tanner in 79 five sets. Borg did play in 82,83,84 but only in one tournament he got passed the first round . Monte Carlo QF in 82. Borg played several exhibition tournaments. If he skipped them and played ATP events he might have still been a top 5 player but he was on the decline he lost motivation. He was still better than Connors, Lendl, Vilas in 81 but chose to quit. Very sad he was my favourite player of all time . With right team around him I think he could’ve won more slams than Sampras but not the big 3

Not really true, passed first round in Monte Carlo 1982, lost to Noah in QF 1-6, 2-6. Also, he lost to Leconte 6-4, 5-7, 6-7 in Monte Carlo 1983, R32. In 1984 Lost to Leconte 3-6, 1-6 in Stuttgart R32. After that game, as far as I know, he didn`t play any competitive matches until 1991. So, atleast in my book, his career ended 1981. Whatever anyone else says, thank you and good evening.

He was not a master of serve and volley. His serving improved a lot, but he was never comfortable volleying. You have made so many errors in this video, did you check any references? The classic Wimbledon final was the 5 setter in 1980 which Borg won, and there were no final set tie breaks in those days, so you have totally muddled your facts. It was the FOURTH set which was a tiebreak won by Mac. The 1981 final was no classic, McEnroe won in 4. Laver was the first to crack the $1 million earnings, long before Borg. Tennis videos are mostly watched by tennis fans, who watched the matches in question, and usually have all the stats at their fingertips, so you need to get a lot more accurate.

The level of games during Bjorn Borg times was below the level of tennis players nowadays. Can not compare it to Novak, Federer, Nadal, carlos to name a few..

I think that Nadal, Federer, and Novak's game would look quite different with wooden racquets and the tennisballs that were in those days. Thier level wouldn't be that different

It's just progression , look at football players , with the exception of Brazil who were always brilliant many players now play like they do . Tennis in the 70's it was Borg ❤

In the 1979 Wimbledon final Bjorn defeated Tanner, not McEnroe.
