My mind originally went to children summons by Zeal and Ardor and then I was like "wait no thats fucking Year Zero" two of my favorite bands in the genre of what I like to call "Black Metal but the band members don't kill eachother". Never been a fan of OG black metal, to my ear extreme metal is generally kind of boring, not because its "too heavy" but more because they think that loud with no mixing = heavy. Zeal and Ardor, Ghost (even though they are more rock), Deafheaven, and Bosse De Nage all hit the dark satanic vibes perfect while sounding incredible.
