This is a truly magical moment. James, I’m a huge fan of retro games and as such, consider me an eternal supporter and subscriber.

This reminds me of when my parens bought me a genuine POLYSTATION 1. It came with 2 cartriges of old NES games. Good to see these bootlegs still going strong and getting with the times.

The housing is actually quite cool, it'd be great to set up a little Raspberry Pi in there to emulate PS1 games. Incidentally, please tell us the names of your cats, they're beautiful beasts and I love them already.

You can buy one with hdmi, wireless controllers, and multi-platform emulation out of the box.. I have no idea what guts are in that one but I’m guessing a pi clone or something like it. It costs a lot more though

I bought both this and a ”game station 4 pro” (which of course looks like a mini ps4 pro) for the sole reason to use them as cases for orange pis etc.

I didn’t know what to expect from the seemingly quiet James but I love these videos! You have such a great energy

This channel is literally everything I hoped it would be. The scuffed but somehow working projects, the calm and collected nature of James, and the chaos of the things he can create all creates a perfect package Personally I would recommend adding some background music While you're not playing games or anything just so there's something to fill the void, but that's just my preference

Everyone has memories of kicking back with the boys on a Saturday night and playing some Super X Game 360 classics, good times

Growing up in Chile meant that you got a new of this every time you asked for a new gen console. PS2? Nah mate get your Poly Station. Xbox360? Game Station looks damn god if you ask me. And probably the funniest thing was that they all came with new cartridges but I always used the same one that had like 15 games or so. Glad you have your own channel now too James! Can't wait for more chaotic content. Oh also I should let you know that I treat my SNES like the holy grail so your portable SNES video broke something deep inside my core as a human being. That's exactly what I was expecting.

So I just watched all 3 videos and they were all really good. I like the good variety of content that all fit under a similar umbrella. The only thing I would say that's missing is background music, something that just helps fill in the void. Other than that, these are great! Can't wait to see what you come up with in the near future! (Side note, I find it kinda funny that your desk is basically just the opposite of the Dankpod's channel rocking the Red rather than the green iPad)

James is covering video game stuff in contrast to Wade who does phone and portable media player stuff, and James shows the electrical engineering side of those things or uses them for his own projects in contrast to Wade who now focuses on showing products as they were when they were sold and from the consumer's view. They're filling two different niches, there just happen to be similarities because they work together on other things.

Please introduce us to your cats, they're adorable! I didn't know these were called Famiclones, but it makes sense. My one is a proper clone that I won from a Japanese crane game. The reason the titles are removed is to not infringe trademark law, which is enforced differently to copyright law. So, if a bootlegger were located somewhere where the copyright for the games aren’t enforced, but the trademarks are, removing the title logos from the games could allow them to continue making bootlegs unimpeded by Nintendo and law enforcement. That’s of course why the GameBoy showed the Nintendo logo on the boot screen. The Nintendo logo displayed on a GameBoy on boot is located on the game cartridge, and the GameBoy checks if the boot image on the game cartridge matches Nintendo’s logo. If the is a mismatch, the game won’t launch, if there is a match, Nintendo could potentially take action for trademark infringement.
