This defense attorney really has to work on her likability if she's gonna be trying to win over juries and the public for a living. Her defensive body language, her shrill voice, her contempt and arrogance, she is an absolute piece of work.

My narcissist ex husband would have definitely gotten rid of me had he not been successful in intimidating me to walk away with nothing. He literally followed me around on our daughter's graduation/birthday and berated, screaming and making us all miserable, to get me to sign the divorce papers. I believe whole heartedly that he would have killed me had he not got exactly what he wanted. He would tell me from his time in the Marines, he learned how to get rid of a body. I'm still affected by his callous and calculated actions to this very day, 3 years later. I had no money or resources to fight for myself and my 3 daughters. I called everywhere to get help. Something needs to change because some women are abused, mistreated and threatened but no one cares to help. He is a Marine and I'm a simple house wife with no prospects because he made sure of that.

Particularly when she reduced Becky's clear expressions of fear to friends as family as "a lot of girl talk". It's one thing to say "there is no evidence to substantiate that, no evidence he ever physically harmed her in any way"...that's what I would expect from an attorney. To minimize it as "a lot of girl talk" is very unprofessional and the kind of the thing you'd expect from a friend or family member of him, not an attorney.

I have a very tough time with cases like this.. I went through a very tough divorce where my wife gas lit every single person in our lives into believing I was a horrible person. During that time, my goal was to make sure our kids never heard me say a single bad thing about their mom. I never spoke bad about her to a single person. Ultimately that worked against me. If my ex would have been murdered by someone during that time I would have 100% been the primary suspect based on what other people would have said. There needs to be physical evidence to convict a person to life in prison regardless of circumstantial evidence. Too many innocent people go to prison.

Understandable given your personal experience but remember… your ex is alive and this poor lady is dead! She certainly didn’t shoot her self 14 times and so who did… statistically most women who are murdered, die at the hands of a partner. The evidence was also quite substantial and assessed by professionals/ jury, not family and friends.

It’s definitely someone who knows the layout of the house & the rooms that would be empty, A random bugler wouldn’t have known how to even get up there. This has INSIDE INFORMATION written all over it. He may not have done it but definitely has a hand in it. The divorce , alimony , definitely a motive.
