At 2:40 it says "Cry out all your eyes or win a new fortune, the chance is one out of six" so by this I think that the numbers on the dice reveal the fate of what the person living will have. In number 1 or 7 (since a dice has six numbers, number seven is the reset part), 1 said it was 'boring' but the background indicates that some sort of job applications or something else were all rejected and the figure there was sad and looked miserable, in 7 the song says that 'I cried so much all I did was mourn" which means that they were sad and miserable too, meaning that number 1 means a life of sorrow and sadness. In 2 and 8 though, 2 says that they were able to to anything that the first life didn't let them, and the image shows us that they were causing chaos and seeming to be happy about this, while what they're doing is harmful and doesn't help others in any way so 2 means that a life where they're happy but others aren't, along with 8 they say that "I could've bought the whole world and everything" which also means a life where they're happy but others aren't, 'cause most people aren't glad of others success. So number 2 means a life where the person in it is happy, but others are not. In 3 or 9, 3 says that they were a "hateful man, a poison to the bone" and the image shows a figure about to hang themselves, so it means that they were harming themselves, in 9 they say that 'I drew some manga but the deadlines left me 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙙' and the image shows someone crying in the back and their hands grabbing their hair, there is also something behind the lyrics that looks like a sharp object, the lyrics also means that they were forcing themselves to reach the deadlines, since overworking is a type of self harm, and both of them have the same meaning number 3 means harming themselves. In 4 and 10, 4 says that ''I played piano but just didn't have the eyes to read the notes'' meaning that they don't have one of the important necessities to play the piano, but they're still tying to to it, which means struggling to achieve something or not having the qualities to do it, the second one works better though because in 10 they say that they were a teacher and a p3d0 alongside that they worked part-time, being a teacher and that isn't a good suit so it also means not having the qualities to do their job, so 4 means not having the necessities to do what they're doing. In 5 or 11, 5 says that "I supported girls, of course that wasn't all' which says one thing, but the 'wasn't all' part implies that there were other things too, now we need to chain this to 11, 11 says "Sorry, I try to forget... Never could describe how awful - no, I'm terrified to think of all" which means something horrid had happened. so the 'wasn't all' part may also mean something bad. So even if I'm not 100% sure, 5 means something horrid and awful happening. The 12th life isn't given in the video but, if we use @creampuffster 's theory, it implies that the 12th life is the Flaky God itself, at 3:17 it says "Ah, look down at all the puppets here, ah, look up at all the puppeteers" this implies that the god uses the people in the back as puppets, using them and possibly harming them, and they also seemed to smile at the end of the clip, 6 says that "My life was corrupted, though I guess it was little fun" meaning that 6 means a corrupt and a type of a wasted life, the image also shows papers dangling from the back and a figure with a suit and tie, so it may mean something like a corrupt government worker or something like that, so I think that 6 means a corrupt figure, causing harm to others and taking joy out of this. But these are just my thoughts, please tell me if you have any other improvements about this, thanks for reading!

Okay so I'm sure others have done this already but I'm gonna do it anyway lol 'cause it seems like fun! Here's my little headcanon about what each of the lives entailed and how Miku died: 1. Miku lead a long, if rather boring, life. She always followed all the rules and never did anything bad or dangerous but because she never took any risks she also never really accomplished anything either, or did anything exciting. She was kind of a goody-two-shoes I guess you could say. She died of old age. 2. Miku (Rin) did all of the exciting, fun stuff she couldn't do in her first life, breaking all the rules. She drank, smoked, did drugs, had sex, and just generally broke the law. She might've joined a gang, too, judging by her baseball bat lol (a stereotypical item that Japanese delinquents carry). Eventually she died young, either from gang fighting, overdose, or from some other risky behavior that she engaged in. 3. Miku (Gakupo) was a hateful man who envied everyone around him. Eventually he grew so jealous and felt like life would never be as good as those around him so committed suicide as a young adult. 4. Miku (Len) was a blind pianist. He made lots of money and became very famous but died young again from cancer or some other terminal illness. 5. Miku (Kaito) was a womanizer who slept with a lot of women. He pretended to support women, acting like a gentleman, but in reality all he wanted was to get into their pants. Eventually he died in middle age when a jealous girlfriend murdered him after discovering him in bed with another woman. 6. Miku (Gumi) was a corrupt lawyer who made money by prosecuting the innocent and demanding large sums from his/her clients. She/He also ran for office and became a corrupt politician, once again extorting money, taking bribes, and falsifying documents all for their own personal gain. It was a very corrupt life, but kinda fun. She/He died of old age. 7. As punishment for her crimes, Miku (Luka?) in her seventh life was a depressed woman who spent her whole life crying and mourning. She had a rough childhood and ultimately committed suicide as a young adult. 8. Because her seventh life was so horrible, Miku's eighth life was much better. She (Meiko) was born into a wealthy family and spent her whole life gambling and buying pretty much whatever she wanted. She died in her 40s when someone murdered her for her money, or because she crossed them in some other way. 9. Miku was a mangaka (manga artist) and led a fairly decent life. She managed to secure a job drawing manga for a company but couldn't meet the deadlines. She lived in a small, humble apartment and died from chronic disease caused by her unhealthy lifestyle of eating only ramen (because that was all she could afford) and stress. That or she committed suicide because she couldn't take the stress of all those deadlines (basically death by overwork which even has a term in Japan, karoshi). 10. Miku was a pedophile (ewww) kindergarten teacher and died when he was accidentally struck by a car coming home from work one night (good riddance). 11. Her eleventh life was so terrible, Miku doesn't even want to remember it, it's that traumatic. Considering what she went through in previous lives though, what could possibly be even worse than all of those things she mentioned? I don't know, but judging by the short snippet we see of her smiling psychotically I'm guessing she was a serial killer (perhaps even an especially brutal one) and/or she was raped. 12. After all the crap she's been through and having lived eleven different lives, Miku is granted some reprieve as a shinigami (basically a Japanese death god/grim reaper). She helps the other shinigami to watch over and manipulate the lives of humans, but secretly behind all of them there is another, higher god which is controlling all of them maybe?

Also, he isn't exactly a pedo*****, but he does joke with Jin about being willing to marry Kyoko if anything were to happen to him. 11- "sorry I tried to forget". Wouldn’t that just make your odds worse? Even if the chance is 1 out of 6 originally, a 12 sided die would have the chances of 2 in 12. It’d increase the odds that you’d get an undesirable outcome more than if you just stuck with the 6 sided die. You’re just adding more variables and making the wanted result even less probable to be rolled.

I think this song could also be about karma, because all the lives tend to follow a pattern. For example: the first life was boring, but since she did nothing wrong she was allowed to do 'all the things the first life didn't' in the next. However, as she's holding a bat in that image it probably isn't wrong to assume she was violent and hurt people. So comes the next life - as a 'hateful' man, who looks like he has a noose around his neck, implying he was a bad person driven to suicide. In the fourth, he was a blind pianist - he got to practise a talent. This seems like something to make up for whatever drove him to suicide. Plus there's no reason to assume he wasn't still successful, so he atoned by working hard at something despite not having 'the eyes to read the notes.' In the fifth life, the character was an advocate for women's rights, presumably carrying on working hard from the fourth life. Assuming she was a successful advocate, she probably had to work a lot, which meant little time for fun. So the sixth life was 'corrupted but fun' - the opposite of her previous honest/admirable yet tiring work. But that corruption had to be atoned for in the next (seventh) life, where she cried a lot and was always in mourning. Conversely, the ninth made her rich - money isn't happiness, but it could have been an attempt to give her an easier life. Once she'd lived her lavish life, the ninth came along and made her work extra hard; from the illustration, it could have been a children's manga she worked on. So in the tenth, rather than giving to children at her own expense, she TOOK from them and only gained from it. But this was unforgivable, as any sane, rational person would agree. So the eleventh life was 'so awful' as a punishment for the disgusting things s/he did in the tenth. The whole 'lives' thing is a metaphor. It's a demonstration of how the things you have done, good or bad, will come back to you when you least expect it. Even at times when you might feel safe from the past. Anyone would think that the person in the video would be safe from his/her actions when they began a new life, but actually, karma will always find a way to follow you. But that's just me. I love this song btw!

By nine, I drew some manga, but the deadlines left me dead - Chibi here probably since he’s like, my only artist character. He’s Kokona’s oldest brother In my tenth life, I was a teacher. What people don’t know is that this is about a cat that lived more lives than what they were supposed to and has become more intelligent than any human on earth.

This sort of reminds me of different D&D things. The first 4 are examples of characters (standard, evil, edgy, detrimentally unique). The next 4 reminds me of different kinds of campaigns (for the good (and money), corrupt, depressing, super wealthy). And the 9th reminds me of the group artist who has to give up because they can't finish, and 10 and 11 remind me of rpg horror stories. Needless to say Game of Life would be a very interesting plot for a campaign.

I've always thought this was the story behind this song: The first life was a normal girl. She was tired of her lame life so she made a deal with a trickster god to make her life interesting. He agreed and made her a deal he warned her there was a catch. She died from a heart attack Her second life was what she always wanted. Her second life died from a car accident She found the catch was she would be reborn 10 more times somewhere between her 2nd death and 3rd life and thus she was bitter and hateful about it to everyone around her in her 3rd life. Her third life hung themself. It was between her 3rd death and 4th life that she discovered that what she did in her previous life would decide what happened to her in the next one. As punishment for being hateful and spiteful, in her 4th life she was blind but still tried to remain cheerful and played piano as her way of apologizing for her 3rd life. Her 4th life died from being hit by a car. In her 5th life she tried to give back to the world be trying to get rights for women and people with disabilities in thanks for the woman in her past life who taught her piano in her 4th life and wanted to give back to society to continue to apologize for her 3rd life. Her 5th life died from old age Her 6th life she was a politician and at first, did help a lot but, soon became corrupted. Her 6th life was assassinated. Because she both helped and harmed in her 6th life, her 7th and 8th were affected. Mentally affected by the manga, she had written, she was a cougar when it came to her students. Her 10th life was killed by diabetes. what if the Mikus _aren't_ the only puppeteers? In the end when it says 'ah, look down at all the puppets here!' different Mikus are shown. You could say it was them looking at their game and gloating at the suffering of their puppets, but I think they _are_ the puppets this lyric talks about. During the lyric 'ah, look up at all the puppeteers..' Miku has a blue string around her neck. Like, a puppet string. So the Mikus are also puppets! What if when it says 'look up at the puppeteers' we should look up a bit more? Someone is controlling the Mikus while they're controlling other people? I'm pretty sure everyone else noticed this but I saw comments theorizing only about the meaning of all the lives.

I think that's true but I have DID (Look it up) so there is no garentee that a personality will be inactive for a day even if they say so I think instead of the chance of being in control for a day it should be the chance of having control over a moment
