I'm 84 years old and so thankful I got to see and hear many of those singers...looking forward to hearing them again.

I somehow missed that Jonathan Pierce had passed away. So, so, sad. Losing some of these people was really hard because some were literally my friends. Heaven sounds better and better every day!

All are missed but two stand out to me personally. Our church choir sang with Johnathon several years ago, it was nice visiting with him that weekend. Big John was a lifelong family friend. I have albums of his that are older than me. When God gave Bill Gaither the idea of putting all of these wonderful people together, it was & is such a blessing for all of us.

I didn't know any of these people apart from Mary Tom Speer, as I only discovered Gaither Gospel just over a year ago. She was a brilliant singer and had such a beautiful smile. I also loved Vestal Goodman, but she didn't get a mention -why not?! She was also a wonderful singer and had a gorgeous smile. She and Mary were (still are!) my two top favourites., but there are so many others whom I like very much. God bless them all.

So many great Christian musicians. God is so happy. Most of them I feel like I got to know them by watching your music programs. Thank you very much. It is nice to know what happened to them. PTL !!!!

what a choir in heaven

I grew up listening on the radio to all of these greats at my grandma’s house. She was home bound and couldn’t go anywhere. That is where I came to love Southern Gospel music.

HA! I had no clue about most of these people, (ESPECIALLY Stephen Hill and Jonathan Pierce; they were so young)!

May they all rest in heavenly peace 😢😢😢

I didn’t know Jonathan had passed away. All these are Greats in my eyes, thank you for this lovely tribute to their lives.

What a beautiful tribute to so many artists.

Missing Andrae Crouch, George Beverly Shae, Rosa Nell Speer Reid, Mosie Lister, Bev Lowry, James and Cecil Blackwood, Mary Gaither, and Monroe Hopper. They have all died since the days of Gaither and Mary Gaither is the only one I am not sure was on the homecoming DVDs, Bev was Mark Lowry's Mom and was a singer and songwriter, she appeared in Mark Lowry On Broadway

IMHO Jim Hamill was the finest lead singer of all time; Eldridge Fox was as good a man as I ever knew.

Been watching the Gaithers for quite some me and enjoyed those beautiful voices most every Saturday and Wednesday evenings. I pray that they are all home with the LORD singing Praises and Worshiping our LORD and SAVIOUR. GOD BLESS them all.

Mylon LeFevre one of CCM favorite singers and musicians and preachers. Through his ministry had over 250,000 people come to faith and salvation in Jesus. Mylon passed away Sept 8 2023. You did good Mylon …. RIP.

I have known of those that passed because I did not see them in your DVD. I feel, as I did then, blessed beyond words can express. For those who sang, I thank God for each of them. I thank you,Bill, and your crew for the wonderful remembrance of them. Yes! I have my favorite, Mark Lowrey and Michel English and my heart rejoices hearing and I miss them. They sing with such perfección and joy, that when they get to heaven, the Party will be greater still. Thank you for using their talents to the Glory of God and to keep us singing and praising our Lord Jesus . Thank you Gloria and Bill and keep blessing us, as our God is praise thru your talent. Keep singing!!❤😊

I never knew any of these people BEFORE they came to join the Gaithers. I wasn't from the south, nor a church goer, and never saw or learned of their music. I so much enjoyed the Gaithers Homecoming, ever since back in early 90s, I saw the ads on TV. I wondered...... who ARE these people??? I certainly remember Jonathan Pierce, and am shocked he died so young.
