The FXR is in Need of Repairs After Only 200 Miles of Riding!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Hate to admit it, but the #fxr had a few issues. Nothing crazy, but unfortunately we had to pull the bike back on the lift to get a couple of things sorted before this year's #polarride. With any build, expect a couple of things to go wrong, and this build was no exception. But we were able to work through them just in time! Also, Justin introduces a few more upcoming projects that will be slowly being worked throughout this year, so get ready for loads of content, 2024 is just getting started!
As always, THANK YOU for following along!! Don't forget to LIKE, COMMENT, and SUBSCRIBE!!

    Plenty of car channels out there I scroll right past Kruisie’s car videos an only watch what I’m there for, the bikes an bike culture.

    Here’s the thing… we tune in for two reasons; 1. The content 2. We like you guys as people. It’s like you’re a friend, a familiar face that shares the same passion so watching your vids is like hanging out with a friend that makes cool stuff so longer vids are preferred IMO. Capiche? Carry on…

    15 minutes is the best "happy" medium. Overall you get the watch metrics, if people are only watching half the video then it's too long!

    I personally like the longer videos. Like 30-45 mins is perfect for my attention span. I tend to fall asleep on the really long ones. Which is probably better for the channels I watch because I play them two to three times to watch all of it. 😂

    Personally I dont mind the longer form videos, I just run em in the background while doing other stuff on the comp. Agree with you 100% with the Harley clamps being a cleaner setup as they dont leave the mounts on the forks, and had to laugh about the alloy art motor mount. Sometimes you just have to try for yourself!

    Also what’s your thoughts on pull back riders on the fxr platform I know with my m8 softail fxbb I run the lucky Dave’s 13 with pull back cause you kinda sit more back on the softails how did you decide the pull backs compared to straight risers ?? Love this build man gotta get me a fixer !!

    I want to see engine and wheel alignment as so many have handling issues because they don't align everything like they need to. Plus properly adjusting the primary chain and drive belt at the tight spot so you don't lose power running improperly adjusted chain and belt or drive chain

    I wanted to do that on the recent fxr, but to do it properly, the equipment isn’t cheap. I cheated and never moved any of the motor mount strut arms, so in theory it should still be as it was. I have rode it, taken my hands off at 80 mph, and all feels straight. I’m sure it’s not perfect, but is very close.

    Proper clutch adjustment after greasing and checking the neck bearings. How to do the front wheel drop check.

  • @Me.MyMachinist.and.l

    @Me.MyMachinist.and.l

    5 ай бұрын

    As far as neck bearings go, I used both the manual, and videos on here using the fall away method with all hand controls removed from the bars. Now that I know people are into the longer videos, I’ll be sure to properly show more technical portions of these builds to ensure we can help those of you watching. Thanks for the great input!

    That’s why I felt the recent fxr build could have been done in less videos, but longer ones. In my head I wanted to stick with shorter videos, but truth be told, I can just get more work done on it in one episode and make it more enjoyable to watch
