As a 99% handtool woodworker (you'll never take my bandsaw from me) it's always frustrating watching a "handtool" build and they process the lumber with jointers/planers/table saw. Your channel is an absolute godsend because you show the entire process with handtools! Excited to see what you do in the new shop.

Right on, cannot agree more! 👍

I agree, but not without mentioning that I’m increasingly getting stopped in my tracks by the lack of machinery for preparation: I’ve been meaning to build a table for a while now, but it requires planing 13 pieces (and more) of knotty lumber down to the right dimensions by hand. Tedious, don’t want to do it - and by now I know that I wouldn’t be missing out on anything if I could skip that step.

I can't stand watching sports games, mostly because the players always act like they're doing all the work themselves, come to find out they took a car to the game. so misleading.

I'm SO happy you will continue focusing on smaller woodshops. My entire woodshop fits in a few milk crates, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you for focusing on this under-served niche!
Ya'll are the sweetest! We're excited for this change, but you know James; he's going to give it his all for his WBW family and do as many videos as possible. We appreciate everyone's well wishes and support!
Your first bench builds helped me with my first two. And Paul Seller's bench without a bench videos too. Can't wait to see the new one. Thanks.
I thought I had "enough" planes. But now I will someday need a plane to fly over the pond for one of your classes XD
Congrats on the new space! There will be no complaints from this corner. You've been very consistent in providing excellent hand tool woodworking videos that have helped me immensely in my retirement. I'm excited for what the future holds and thrilled at the idea of what your "dream bench" will look like. Thanks for your continued supply of good, honest information. Keep it up!
That's so exciting! I love the idea of the live classes with cameras. Don't worry about missing videos. We'll be here when you get back. Congrats on the new house!
That’s awesome. My heart dropped when i saw the title I thought o no you were stopping the channel, I didn’t realise how important this channel is to me and my woodwork journey until I thought it wasn’t going to be there. Good luck with the move, moving sucks
Thanks for the heads up. Don’t worry about missing a few videos. I don’t think any one will mind. Just worry about getting moved in and not going crazy. I’ll be praying for you guys.
James, my heartiest Congratulations on the big move! I’m so happy for you and your family in this new adventure. I especially can’t wait to see the development of your new bench! And thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU for staying true to your original purpose: having fun making things in a small shop, with only hand tools. You’re The Best!
Wish you well for the move.
Well, if there were Star Trek transporters, I would show up..... One thing I found with my shops over the years was that the bigger the shop, the bigger my wood stash got.... I need almost as much room for my wood as I do for my work/play area....
Congratulations, looking forward for updates!!
Congrats to you and your family on the new home! Excited to see the new shop and all your new content.
that's massive! congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm rooting for you, Sir.
Congrats, and I hope the move goes well! I love the channel and look forward to those shop building videos.
Congrats! Looking forward to seeing how you set up the new shop!
Congrats James!!🎉 I'm really happy for you all! Cheers
Excited to see where you go from here.
I love seeing your excitement for your new bench. I look forward to seeing the new shop. Keep up the awesome work you do.
Congratulations! Very exciting stuff for you, the family, and the channel 👍
I love watching your videos. I am a 30+ year carpenter. Since retiring I am getting into hand tools. I sure wish I could have started this earlier.
Congratulations on your new home. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations on your new home and workshop. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats on your new place mate, can't wait to see all your futer projects
Yay! Wishing y’all congrats on the new home!
Good for you!
I'm only about half an hour from Rockford. I'd be happy to help. I have a pickup truck and trailer if you need to move anything big.

Got the trucks rented. Because we have to load up on Monday and unload a few days later. But I would love any help you can provide. If you can send me an email I can send you the information jameswright@woodbywright.com
I know the feeling with a new bench, the laugh was priceless. All the best for the future 👍
Congratulations on the new home and Shop.
Congratulations. I have enjoyed, been inspired, and been amused watching you build your current shop. Good luck with your "moving experience ". I will be looking forward to seeing you "grow" your new shop. Prayers for you and yours.
Hope it all works out well for you in the new workshop
Good for you! 🙂👍🙏
Glad to see a new video. Missed you and so happy for your upcoming move. We will stay with you and wish you and the family all the best of luck. Definitely an exciting time...

Can’t wait to see your new shop /setting up of.

Cool you are moving. Good luck with the process. We will be here when you get back after the hard work is over.
Congrats on the new house and shop!
Congratulations James & Sarah!
Iam glad to here about your newest adventure.
Awesome! Congrats on the new place.
Wow! Congratulations🎉 Can't wait to see you building the new workbench! There will be so much to learn!😉
Congrats on the new house and shop. I moved last year and am still in the process of setting up my shop and deciding what furniture to build for the house. So, I'm excited to see what you come up with. I've learned so much from your channel and am really happy for you.
Wishing you all the best for the move and new shop set up. I’ll be saving up for a class. Can’t wait to see what the future brings.
Congratulations James, looking forward to seeing you get set up your new space ~
Congratulations!!!
Congratulations James!! You guys deserve it. I hope you and the family settle in well to the new Casa De WBW. Looking forward to some furniture builds I can follow along on. Good on you sir.
Congratulations on the move! I hope you and yours will be happy and healthy in the new home. I hope you stay involved in the mid-west. It's great to support someone local that inspires me in my work.
Congrats, James! I can't wait to see your dream bench come to life.
Congrats on the new house and place to work. Good luck on everything
Congratulations James! This will be fun to watch.
Congrats James & family! Wrong side o the pond to pop-in to help. Take care & stay safe.
Best wishes on your move!
That is so awesome!! I’m happy for you and your family!
All the best for moving to the new house! Can’t wait for all the new projects 😊
The very best of luck to you and your family. Much as I would love to help you in moving, traveling from England is, unfortunately, a bit too far. I will be with in you in spirit. I am looking forward to watching you build your new bench and the setting up of your, slightly, larger, workshop. I love your channel.
I’m looking forward to seeing some build projects.
Congratulations on the new place.
FYI, I am Northside Chicago. If you're ever in the neighborhood, there's a lot of good brew pubs here.
Thanks for the update. Congratulation's to you and your family on purchasing a new home/shop.I hope the move goes well. Looking forward to videos of the move and move in if you have the chance. Maybe a volunteer can video while you organize the moving crew. You all be safe and God bless.
Congrats on the new house
Congrats James and family! This is so exciting. I'm really looking forward to the bench build. I have 2 slabs of holly, 3" thick, that have been drying for a little over 3 years now. Plan is to get started on the new bench this summer. I have some leg vice and end vice hardware already. I was thinking of a ruobo style bench. Now I want to watch your series and see what new ideas that sparks. I truly do wish I was closer to Rockford, IL. I would definitely lend a hand! But, as I'm hopeful to be employed again very soon, my contribution to your cause will have to be monetary instead of muscle. Best of luck on the move. Best to your lovely bride and all your family.
Good luck with the move James! I am excited for you to get to build your dream bench, as well as organizing the new space. Hopefully all goes well ❤️
Yay new shop setup and bench. Love it.
This is great for you James. It'll be nice to see how it all turns out without actually having to help you move. Just did that last summer. Make sure whoever buys your house knows how much effort you put into that hardwood floor. Doing that with hand tools was a monumental achievement and worth a little bragging.
Hurray for you! Can't wait.
Congrats on the new home. I for one would love to see you repost some of your old videos - you know like how to build a turning or frame saw! I think we all can give a little, and let you move - so take a small break and smell the roses!
good luck with the move, don’t burn yourself out with trying to feed the algorithm.
Agreed with the other comments about catching up on your backlog of videos!
I just got a 12×20 shed that will become my wood shop. No filming or classes for mine, so should be enough. You and Rex have given me many good tips on how to set it up, but that dream has a little while to fine tune before I commit. Watching yours will undoubtedly give me more great tips!

Really looking forward to the classes! On-line and in-person!

I think this means you need to make another trip out. 😊
Congratulations enjoy the new place
Best of luck with the house move. Things can get a bit hectic. I would say don't worry too much about KZread and concentrate on getting the family settled, but you know what you're doing. Cheers.
Moving those huge benches would be cool to see! I thought about building a break down in case I ever move or need to build a new one
I will probably miss the wonderfully cluttered look of your workbench and all your tool wall. But there will certainly be something atmospheric in return, which is linked to your cheerful and fascinating way of doing things. I wish you all ythe best!
Congrats, James!
Keep a camera handy and shoot some stuff about moving the shop: your viewers will want to see that. Rex did the same thing and milked to move for many videos and it was nice to see the process.
Very happy for your family getting your new home. Thanks so much for not going all "40x80" on us :). Like many other small shop, limited budget woodworkers, I have often seen KZread woodworkers with some success move into the industrial grade shops with the prohibitively expensive equipment and inevitably the dreaded CNC :). I am sincerely happy for those folks. Just can't identify with that sort of shop or that sort of woodworking that I don't even want to do and could never afford. You stated it perfectly, woodworking should be "having a lot of fun". Thanks
Good luck and all the best
All the Best wishes for your move! I'm glad to hear, that you will keep your chanel the way it is. I love the relatable small shop vibe! I'm really looking forward to your dream workbench! If you miss a video release don't beat yourself up. Saddly won't be able to help you move, due to living in Germany. All the best!
Thanks
Those nine weeks would be good time for everybody to watch all the old videos. Few months ago I started watching all the videos on this channel in a chronological order, starting from the very first one. Right now I am somewhere in mid-late 2020, hitting like- button on every single video as I go on, for the sake of algorithm. Just realised while writing this that I could have also put a "comment down below" on all of them 🤔

I agree, and go even further. Don't exhaust yourself doing 9 weeks of videos in a few days... We're fine watching all the content we already have! Moving is already hard, don't put any more strain than necessary, on yourself and your family. Have fun!

Man that's a lot of watching. Thanks if that means a lot.
Good luck in your new home i hope the move goes smoothly
Congratulations, I don't envy you the actual move but it's so exciting! I look forward to seeing the new projects and the new shop. I understand completely why you'd not want to show everyone the move but we're all interested :)
Congrats!
Sweet my friend congratulations on the new house/shop!
Congratulations
Good luck 🤞 with the move
happy moving
I liked those throw back videos. That might help fill the gaps. Good luck with the move!
That is exciting new, James! Congratulations on the new space.
Just take your time in moving... You aren't still going anywhere.. and congratulations for new home/shop
Good luck with the move. I did that a year and a half ago and the shop still isn't right.🙂🙂
Hay Dude! Stp gloating thatyou are moving a new shop (+ 1' in the W & Y sans storage). Enjoy and embrace the oportunity the move will facilitate for you and your family.
So happy for your success James, best wishes. Hope there will be room for Sarah’s work bench. 👍

Maybe I can actually use it. 😂
Congratulations on the new home. Envious of your basement shops. Basements are unheard of in Las Vegas. Ground is so hard that you may have to blast to get a basement here. Also, I am looking forward to online classes.
Moving is stressful enough without worrying abut videos as well, Take your time we will be awaiting your return and in the meantime I will be revisiting some of the older videos. Such great learning content I love your channel.
Good luck with your move.
