The availability does seem like a huge perk to AI chatting. A means to vent or get some limited advice at any time. However, treating it as a partner, or a "real" friend seems like an unhealthy idea. From what I'm seeing, they seem best to replace the random chats with strangers that I used to do on ICQ, AIM, and MSN Messenger. I needed someone to talk to, as quickly as possible, to vent about life. I could see AI taking up this kind of interaction. But again, these were often people I only talked to a few times in my life. I didn't know them more than a couple of months at most. It certainly wasn't a substitute for a partner.

Well with the way things are in the world and on the internet these days, real humans can often be disappointing and cruel. I'm not surprised more are turning to apps like this. It can provide relief, but like anything else, can become an addictive crutch.

It was the 18th of August 2023, I clicked on a video about homelessness in London because it peaked my interest. I instantly loved the narrator's voice, 7 months on I wouldn't change it for the world. 💪 #Robloak #OnTheRoadTo100K.

I would disagree on dating a AI because you can't form a connection so your still lonely. Actually go outside to find a actually find a girlfriend instead of talking to a metal box. This is coming from a physically disabled person. I don't know if I'm correct or not but can talking to a AI mess with people's mentality, i think people who talk to AI are not okay.
