This is really interesting, I wonder if there could also be options for adding in more linework into the interior of the svg (assuming youre not using it for cutting) would be great for architecture and graphic design

Wow, just tried it out and it really works nicely - Great job. I also tried to use it programmatically, hence doing the exporting via a py script, but I seem to to be able to do so without running into errors. Do you know if the plug in should be able to be used via py api calls? - assuming there is already an object and a camera set up properly.

Thanks for this. I don't have a laser cutter but I was wondering if this was possible. I can barely use Blender but I understand it and can work better with it than illustrator.

I really appreciate your videos. One question though. Is there any compatibility issue with Inscape1.2.2? Even if I try to export a simple plane for a test, it's not behaving the way I expect it. I can't add outlines and all of the 4 corners have multiple nodes on them. Not to mention more complex forms. Is there any setting I overlooked?

Hi, what about slicer in blender for laser cutting? Like it was with 123Make?

Hey what laser cutter are you using to actually cut out metal?

Maybe I have missed something - I'm not much into Blender so I may have not understood all the steps, but - can it be used to "slice" a full mesh into several layers for laser cut & stacking the parts? 123Make used to be available for this but it's gone for years now. Fusion slicer is non-supported and has a lot of problems.

I'm confused by your gumroad, it says 3.0 here and in the update announcement but the latest available download is 0_0_91. Is this the latest version or am I missing something here?

Confused here by this as well. I don't get it.

Using a Mac, and latest version on Blender. It will not show up in the view menu. Would love for this to work.

Can we use it for architecture drawing export... Just like make2d in Rhino.

Good afternoon! Here's a friend offering some important advice: use caution when dealing with MDF. Furthermore, it is worth extending this precaution to other materials, especially because regarding MDF, which is not widely discussed in Brazil, I had to seek information abroad. Although it is little talked about, what I discovered is worrying - there is evidence that MDF may be linked to cancer (due to the gases it produces when the cut is burned). But I couldn't find anything about the gases emitted when burning cardboard, could you say anything about that? Boa Tarde! Além disso, é válido estender essa precaução a outros materiais, especialmente porque sobre o MDF, que não é amplamente discutido no Brasil, precisei buscar informações no exterior. Does this preserve the scale? For example, if we model an object and we want to print out the outline in the same exact size as that object, could we do it with SVG exports? I'm trying to create stencils for spray painting.

i think that's the reason he mentioned you have to set up your blender the same way he has in the description. but if you export SVG files and have them in inkscape, you can just scale them to whatever size you want and make sure they line up with your preference before cutting

Did anyone tested it on linux? I am using ubuntu 22.04. Installation of the Addon works fine. I can activate it but it never asks me for an inkscape path.

The last two versions of outline to svg to not require inkscape at all.

i can't download it because the verification part, it says select all bicycles, i do but it says i didn't do it right, then it says select all busses etc. so freaking frustrating. i spent like 5 minutes selecting bullshit and it still doesn't work!

tried installing the plugin but it makes my blender hang and crash, tried latest blender version to. removed from addons directory and blender works fine again. :(

Hmmm strange... If you want to help me get to the bottom of this I would love to hear form you in the discord. Through all my testing I'm experiaced nothing like this? I it when your actually exporting?

@@Keep-Making no I just installed the plugin in the add-ons section, tick the box to enable it then blender won't start next time I open it, blender starts then closes without any errors, remove the plugin from the add-ons directory and blender starts again fine. I will troubleshoot further and post in discord.

Blender 4.0 already have base point feature built-in, after pressing G you just have to press B to choose base point. Try it, it is awesome....

This addon wont work.. i try with blender 3.2 its work. but not 3.4 and 3.5.. ur welcome guys
