    Took out my new DF3 for the first time this week. Still getting used to it but it did help me shoot my lowest round of the year. Had a couple of 3 putts to be honest but also dropped two long birdie putts. I think this is going to be a keeper!

    I tried the Mezz and liked it OK. Dealbreaker was not being able to pick up balls with it. Also if you let the toe open at all it was very difficult to square it back up.

Blueprint S & T review is in the queue and also a Blueprint S vs. Titleist T150 head-to-head. Hoping they'll both be out in the next month or so!

    That’s always the usual trade-off with putters! Either hit the line easier or hit your speed easier. Lots of arguments on what’s best, but I’ve always felt great putters focus more on speed vs. line. What putter are you currently gaming right now?

  • @strapguy197

    EXACTLY! The issue with the DF3 is I just keep messing up with the distance compared to other modern putters. But my wife played her best rounds yet with it.

  • @LegacyAirTech
    @LegacyAirTech2 ай бұрын

    Ive tested these putters a few times now, the DF3 and DF2.1 are the softest, most stable, easiest to square putters Ive ever used. I wanted them to be bad since (personally) I dont like the way they look and theyre very expensive. But they were so much better than other putters feel and confidence wise I couldn’t ignore it. Obviously if you are used to the dynamics of a different putter (weight, size, feel, torque, etc) then it will perform well - but if you are able to try and “reset” all those biases these putters are legit. Side note, I didnt like the link 1. It was a much firmer feeling putter and I did not have as much distance control, but I dont think its a bad putter. I use a mallet putter right now so I think the blade shape just wasnt as familiar to me

    I’m with you, I think there’s a slight difference in feel but it’s not much. That said, I actually really like the stock steel they use. The fact it’s stepped gives it some nice feel/feedback. At the end of the day, the tech is in the head not the shaft, so I think combining the tech w/the extra feedback is a nice positive.

    I have a Link, switched from a standard Toe Hang putter fitted to my specs (+1 Flat, -1 Weak). I used to putt great with it but had a pull miss. The Link (after learning what the feel is like), has eliminated that miss and my putting is out of this world right now. Remember, this putter will not fix things for you magically. Putting well takes practice and lots of rounds of play to get your speeds and touch down. This putter just enhanced my game. I chose against the DF3 because I like the look of a standard putter.

    You can't "realistically compare 2 putters without have the same grips. The link with that Ping grips is going to give you way more feel than the DF3 grip. With these putters the big "selling point" is the entire putter set up. I would be curious to see a review with the DF3 with the more traditional Ping grip, that would be more realistic. I feel, you may actually like the DF3 with that grip as well, also, what's the weight difference between the 2 grips? But more importantly the forward press design of the grip on the DF3 is a big BIG difference. Nice stroke by the way you are a very good putter just for a gear head like me the grips make a HUGE difference.

    DF 2.1 literally feels like a cheat code. However, it is so imperative to get past the learning curve. Personally that took 2 rounds before i started to get a feel for the putter. You really do have to take your hands out of the equation. Once that happens, these putters are MONEY. You know this happens when you start making putts obviously, but even more so when you go back to rhe putter uou switched from and it just totally feels foreign to you. The same stroke taken with my DF 2.1 DOES NOT work with my TM Spider .

    My assumption of how the tech works is such that it may be more beneficial to amateurs than professionals. It’s safe to assert that pros have better feel and therefore are able to compensate for the added torque of traditional putters better than amateurs. Therefore the delta for the amateur will be > the pro. Right? Just theorizing
