Whereas fox news makes a gaffe or fun remark and within hours you'd get at least 500 views and 25000 overnight. The media could use this kind of material more I think. Thanks for making it!

I found out about this video by complete chance (I was reading a non related story and wanted to see if there was any current video of Gen. Neller (I'm a big fan of his style and straight forward speak). Fortunately, this video came up in a search. I've watched other CSIS videos, and they are always interesting.

Info Wars and Zerohedge and the like are at the forefront of dumbing down the public by convincing them that they're getting the full story from tidbits of anti-establishment propaganda. Videos like this are specifically targeting military and intellectual audiences and so the coverage is far deeper. Consider yourself either a military officer or likely in possession of at top ~5% IQ.

Temp Datta Well said. In this day and age, it's not hard to research things for yourself...and anyone with the slightest ability to think critically (and I understand that there are plenty of people that won't, or can't do that) can get to the core of any issue and make an informed decision on where he/she stands. Entities like Info Wars is pouring gasoline on the "we want our information quick and and small soundbites" fire. It truly is dumbing down the public.

How does the officer feel about US Corporations selling weapons and technology to US 'adversaries'? I am also curious how the officer and public feel about the US training programs that have trained terrorists using the terrorist strategies developed by US Military?

He also said that they'd pull up google earth to check on their camouflage position. Don't think it works that way, since the satellite images aren't real time, but then again, maybe the army has a different version. :P

itsedavan Or he's using the colloquial term for their own real-time imaging system.

There are two methods of expeditionary warfare, amphibious and airborne. One resides in the Marine Corps/Navy and the other in the Army/Air Force. All four branch's have doctrine disagreements with the other. Nothing has been done since WWII to fix the situation.

There is nothing that needs to be done, we are a joint force. Marines just got rid of tanks and the new air lift for the marine corps will have better assault and gunship ability than the previous generation so it seems like the problem is already solved. Afaik there hasn't been a problem where either water or air had to ever compete for what they needed but if you know of am instance I'd be interested to hear it I don't mean pentagon budget quibbles I mean has there ever been a time when a US battlefield commander was let down because he wore the wrong branch uniform that day?
