The Future of Breathing | James Nestor

Ғылым және технология

Drawing on thousands of years of medical texts and recent cutting-edge studies in pulmonology, psychology, biochemistry, and human physiology, journalist James Nestor questions the conventional wisdom of what we thought we knew about our most basic biological function, breathing.
Nestor tracks down men and women exploring the science behind ancient breathing practices like Pranayama, Sudarshan Kriya, and Tummo and teams up with pulmonary specialists to scientifically test long-held beliefs about how we breathe. His inquiry leads to the understanding that breathing is in many ways as important as what we eat, how much we exercise, or whatever genes we’ve inherited.
"The Future of Breathing" was given on December 08, 02020 as part of Long Now's Seminar series. The series was started in 02003 to build a compelling body of ideas about long-term thinking from some of the world's leading thinkers. I completely stumbled upon this video and iAm deeply grateful for all the information you shared. It is so important for people to know this. The breath is the very way for us -Human Beings- to embody our energy through the body and through the planet to connect with the planetary consciousness, which is eXactly what this evolution is about! We -the souls- are learning how to manage our body's living, as the planetary consciousness is doing with her body, Earth. I loved the part where it was explained that through managing the body's breath, the parasympathetic system is triggered. When we evolve to our full potential, meaning when we have activated and neutralized our genetic material to function consistently in response to our intended flow of energy in our body, weaving our light through the body to produce the energy that allows Life and Gaia to provide the physical realities we step into., with each breath! Thank you for sharing this!
