It really bothers me when hosts do not act with grace and courtesy. This means this is how they are too in their homes. Notice how the host walks in so full of himself sitting hard on his chair without waiting for his guest to sit first. So disrespectful.

i would invite everyone on this video to watch 'How to enjoy the end of the world ' by Sid Smith. Climate catastrophe is real, and fastly approaching, and we will barely have food or water in a couple decades. Only a few perhaps will be able to achieve what's being discussed on this video and the rest of us are going to suffer immensely from collapse. I find Kaku highly optimistic, and only a few will be going to space, if ever. So bad news folks, capitalism never favors the poor.

There’s a lack of knowledge and acknowledgement of the soul in relation to all of this. We are more than just our bodies and we have such little knowledge of this. The pursuit of technology to enhance ourselves is too early because we don’t understand what we are. Even Dr. Kaku has expressed a very limited and negative view of us humans as a species so how are we supposed to build from this in any meaningful or healthy way? It’s too early and this will ultimately lead to a higher understanding of ourselves but not before we put the most essential part of ourselves at risk. Our soul.

Dr. Michio Kaku is a leading authority in physics and his theory and contribution to science. He is world renowned and recognizzed, admired, respected and looked up to by countless of high intelligent men, women and aspiring future scientist, and as such any time this unique, precious and ineffable human being chooses to spend some of his valuable and irreplaceable time you should recognize and respect such a man of his stature and at the least not compare him to such people like paris hilton. Nothing against her, but Dr. Michio Kaku is light year above and beyond her. its upsetting to see people like Alex Klokus not only be as ignorant as he is but to be disrespectful. I am truly sorry that Dr. Michio Kaku had to endure this. this is equal to if not worse then waterboarding. .

I mean, he’s been slowly eroding that respect amongst his peers for years, so, I’d say he’s not too far out of place. I like him, but I’d say 20 years ago he was a highly respected legit physicist, now, he is a decently respected science communicator, who will legitimize a lot of woo woo for a paycheck. I’m not mad at that, but you are overreacting.

... ... Rossi said his patented device (2015) can produce electricity for $0.01/kWh, which, for this analysis, I will assume is true. However, he did not factor in the cost of distribution, which is currently no less than $0.05/kWh and considering needed infrastructure improvements to incorporate his devices into the grid, $0.10/kWh. Since the Chinese currently deliver electricity to their businesses for $0.05/kWh, retail, and have plans to do so for the next 40 years with the same tried and true coal fired electricity generation plants, and Rossi sold them the rights to his device (for manufacture and distribution in China) for $100 million, any means of producing electricity that utilizes the same central distribution system (the grid) will fail (be non-competitive). If any candidate chooses to jump on board the Make America Great bandwagon, I suggest that they do so with a more realistic financial prospectus.

Dr Kaku made a confusion between life expectancy and live survival. Those who passed the infancy would live to 70 to 90. Life expectancy of my grandfather and my father's family was 25 y (their brothers died in the first years of life) but their survivability was 96 y. So when people say that because of increased expectancy of life, people have to work more and retire later, it's stupid. It's completely the opposite. Because of increased expectancy of life the working force has almost quadruple and so people can work less and retire sonner. And we haven't talked about the new methods of production factor in increasing the capacity of that working force.

Dr. Kaku almost has it correct! But as with organisms the ability to acquire a mate and reproduce is only possible IF basic needs are first met. It is surplus energy that produces all wealth. The difference between the energy expended to acquire energy and the energy acquired is the net energy that drives metabolism and our industrial civilization. Unfortunately, we have drawn all the low hanging fruit already. Perhaps a new tech will come along like fusion or small thorium reactors to save us but I doubt it. We are essentially committed to 2 C+ and with it will come a very significant reduction in crop yields. On top of this fishery collapses, coral reef bleaching, soil erosion and soil degradation, inc failed states and famine, fresh water aquifer depletion, petroleum depletion, heat waves, floods, sea level rise, creeping inc in wet bulb temps of 31 C in the tropics and semitropics, etc...WILL WRECK CIVILIZATION. WE MIGHT HAVE 2 DECADES LEFT IF WE ARE LUCKY.

All the fabulism, a uniquely American trait. I’m worried about what could go wrong, and found this session giving short shrift to the big risk…nuclear disaster, either in the form of WWIII type nuclear holocaust, or massive nuclear terrorism or accident. This is why a new world order that is multipolar and not hegemonic, featuring global cooperation and friendly relations between and among all nation-states, especially US and China, is vital. No more Cold War or warmongering mentality, please.

The way humanity evolved is not the right way. Materialistic evolution leads to extinction of a species. Spiritual evolution is the only way we can eliminate all pain and suffering and yet jump beyond this universe even without the need or necessity of material technology.

@@user-sk1fr1kc9l Absolutely. Spirituality is basically genetic engineering at it's core. Material technology is only developed to reinforce survival of the fittest. But, spiritual development ensures every individual in the entire species is altruistic. This means like for example, when your phone gets a software update, every other phone of the same make gets it right? Likewise, when someone discovered or got a supernatural ability, it will be instantly and telepathically shared to rest of the beings in such a world or spiritual utopia. Practice of yoga and meditation itself will cleanse and power up your DNA so you can pass on superior and supernatural DNA to your children. Refinement at every next level will make a natural superhuman species possible.

This guy has called us ants, zoo animals, stupid, boring and not worth much as a species. I wouldn’t trust him with any technology. Maybe it’s the opposite of what Dr, Kaka says. Maybe we are extremely interesting and intelligent and very important to our extraterrestrial family. Maybe we are from them and of them. Maybe they are our parents in an expanded sense. A parent loves and cares about their children more than anything.
