Well, I guess the audience was split on this and I think I see what you mean. For me, a satisfying end is one that ties together all of the loose ends and wraps up the themes of the book. Not necessarily uplifting...

The title of this says no spoilers, but I'd consider the comments about the narrator at the beginning a spoiler, deciding the reliability of a narrator colours your experience reading it and how I know from page 1 they're unreliable. I'll come back to this review when i have read it.

I'd call it a very soft spoiler, and I think that it helps the book knowing it in advance. That would be my personal preference if I were coming fresh into the story. The exposition is more interesting if you know you're starting off with a simple situation where more and more layers will be revealed in the course of the novel. But yes, let me know what you think!
