Oh gosh this video was exactly what I needed before doing my second long hair Belgian Tervuren Shepherd named Tiberius. I am amazed by the number of different techniques that you have used for each of these different types of fur & animals. So I am curious about whether you have ever had to use an embossing tool or scalpel/craft knife for scratching in fine lines for fur textures and details. Thanks also for explaining the various paint consistency (tea, milk, cream) in a way that I can understand completely how & why it does make a difference in the layering. I have seen the video of you using the Detailing Fine Painting Gold Fluid Writer Touch up Paint Applicator for whiskers. Thanks for sharing this wonderful informational video with us. I am learning so much from your work, perspective, & teaching.

I'm so sorry I'm just now getting to this comment. I need to catch up!! I don't have an embossing tool but I think it's a great way to get textures!

I would just make longer strokes on dry paper and then when they are still half wet run a half wet rigger through them to soften them!
Thanks Rachel for so much great information! Do you paint on hot pressed paper or prefer more textured please?
@rachelsstudiodotcom
Жыл бұрын
Hot press can be fun to play with but most of my painting is on cold press because it's so much easier to blend.
