@@ekimandersom4478 it wasn't. Some parts of the show are scripted, but it goes against the united airline policy to mess with things like this. If it was done specifically, they would have to do a waiver on every single person on the plane etc. The show people don't get special rights over normal people.

I love how they just turned more and more into a cartoon the longer they worked together.

You do get a sense of how loved they really are. That crowd was amazing 🤯

I got the same feeling. In Top Gear they would ALL more equally get pranked. Also in my opinion Grand Tour there's lot more scripted pranks.

Their road trips are epic and a pinnacle of car journalist comedy sub genre. They simply have the chemistry that works great.. Now that being said I don't like the over acting and over production of their interactions to make them more funny than they really are, by the producers of The Grand tour. Their road trips and the jokes in Top Gear seemed less staged and produced, although I'm aware that there was some staging, scripts and acting in these "purely accidental" moments of the fabulous trio during TG.

Me to James May, long ago: "You should have spent less on the car and bought some driving lessons instead" May: "You're absolutely right. I haven't got a clue what I'm doing" 😁
