im not even like a die hard fan of one piece, im behind by like two arcs, but that part just still makes me so mad i cant watch it cause every single thing aiden says is just fundamentally wrong. and honestly im impressed ludwig sat there and took it as much as he did. i do think people that are calling it the best story ever told are wrong, although i kinda know where they're coming from, its really good but it has its issues

you know its something special when theres a bit from an AD READ in the best of (and bonus point not remembering it was an ad at the start of it)

Aiden is the likeable normal protagonist thrown into a war he cannot fathom and we see his development from slimes human dog into running his own Human Dog fighting league. It’s kinda like Metal Gear. It’s like a twink Rick grimes by the end of it.

The opening clip is literally my favourite one from any episode. I laughed harder at that bit than I have at anything in a long time Okay the Silence of the Lambs bit is also insanely good, I hadn't seen that

great video to keep my mind off the hunger pains from not having any grain left to eat

I haven’t made it far, but if the aiden striptease ad for me undies isn’t in this I’ll be dissapointed, that was an amazing ad. Unless that was just a fever dream

Regarding slime’s comment that Germans might be the most likely to help in his painter’s clothes hypothetical: I was once on a German train absolutely packed with people. Some folks paid hundreds of dollars to be there while others surely hopped on for free. It had been stuck at the station for at least an hour because of delays throughout the system. A man came stumbling through the car that myself and about 20 others were in. He was sweating, red in the face, only able to say German swear words, and pulling his shirt up to his face as though to wipe it clean of the dripping sweat. He appeared to be on drugs and was certainly violating people’s personal space, although not quite touching anyone. Hunched over others, using anything for support, stumbling, looking drunk as anyone I’ve ever seen. Turns out the guy was having an effing heart attack, probably begging for help. I don’t speak German and was in a particular situation where I was supposed to be looking out for some other people, but I cannot believe all those other natives were just like ew get away from us & handle this elsewhere. He very well could’ve also been on drugs, but the guy had a heart attack and not a single regular person even tried to help. The first people to help worked for the train company. It was a couple hours later on the train ride i ended up talking to another couple who got on much later and they said some of the delays that day were because a guy had a heart attack on one of the trains… yeah man, that happened in THIS TRAIN CAR that you’re in right now.

a couple years back an elderly person had a heart attack in front of an atm in western germany and people stepped over him while he was laying there to get money because they thought he was a homeless guy. so yeah germans definitly wont help slime with shit in his overalls
